As a travel specialist with kimkim, my goal is to create personalized trips tailored to your very own interests. Whether it's a relaxing, beach-side vacation on the coast or a wine tour in a countryside village, I strive to promote places and experiences that show the authentic culture, cuisine, and history of your destination. I hope to share my own firsthand knowledge and insights to create an unforgettable journey for you!

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in covering Spain and Portugal's highlights, sprinkling off-the-beaten-path experiences for those looking to enjoy each country's lesser-known gems; whether that's a romantic getaway, cultural and heritage exploration, or an adventure-filled vacation!"

How did you get involved in travel?

"My passion for travel started after taking my first international trip as an undergraduate student. This encouraged me to continue exploring new destinations, both with groups and as a solo traveler. Since then, I've traveled to various countries throughout Europe, Central America, North America, and a couple of destinations in Africa. Having lived in Spain during my travels with visits to Portugal, I hope to share my love for these countries and all they have to offer!"

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"One of my favorite experiences was joining the Batalla del Vino, or Battle of the Wine, in Haro, a small town in Spain famous for it's red wines. Every year, thousands of locals and tourists come together, split into teams, and throw liters of red wine at each other on a hilltop followed by a festival at the town square. People carried bottles, cups, even buckets filled with wine! When given the opportunity, I recommend participating in local celebrations, especially those less common, to get a firsthand look at a country's culture. "

Our trip specialist, Coraima, was terrific - highly responsive, accessible, and very helpful in planning the type of trip and experiences that we wanted. She then " handed it off" to the logistics scheduler, Chinh, who was also very communicative and helpful. We planned multiple activities and excursions, and the guides were all excellent. The hotels were just what we wanted - not overly fancy or expensive, but quite comfortable and well situated. Also, the kimkim app was very helpful and user-friendly. Were there any hiccups? Yes, but quite minor: (1) a self-guided walking tour one day in Logrono (La Rioja) was a bit of a bust because it was a Sunday and everything was closed, (2) the e-bicycle wine tour that we took was gorgeous and really fun, but the planning could have been better - it was much longer than expected (by 3-4 hours!) and we got lost several times (but found our way eventually!). Lastly, our transfer back to the airport at the end of the trip was cancelled at the last minute by the ride company. This was definitely NOT kimkim's fault, and in fact kimkim was easy to contact and made this right extremely quickly - so their emergency service really does work. Again, we had a fantastic trip and I would definitely use kimkim again for a future vacation.

The location is beautiful - the view from our room of the wine region was stunning. However, be aware that it is not in town - a taxi to Logrono is about 20 minutes and about 25 euros each way. The rooms are odd - modular and modernistic, but clean and comfortable. They have a nice spa, the breakfast was very good (made-to-order eggs, and a buffet of cold items), and the one dinner we had there was very good. A nice choice if you would rather be in a more isolated location.

We had definite ideas about where we wanted to go, what we wanted to do, and what hotels to stay at and I considered just planning the trip myself. I'm very glad we used kimkim instead. It took a lot of stress off us since they booked all the hotels, trains, and inter-country plane trips. Coraima listened to my ideas and let me book some things they did not have on their recommendation list, such as the hotel in Ibiza (my daughter really wanted to stay at a hotel on bossa beach with a night club). The kimkim app we got on our phones was very helpful, with our daily itineraries and links to all of our tickets. Our favorite parts of our trip were the food tours! We especially loved the food tour of the gothic quarter in Barcelona and the Tapas and Flamenco tour in Sevilla. When we did have hiccups in our trip (a driver who never showed up, and a flight delay that caused us to almost miss a connecting flight and missing luggage for one night), Chinh, our local specialist helped us through that and even gave us some refunds. We would definitely use kimkim again.

When comparing this Spain trip organized by KimKim to my last one to Spain a few years ago, the latter was better. In quite a few ways, I am unsure if it was because I had more days and destinations in Spain.
This time, there were gaps in the schedule. I added more activities from TripAdvisor. I am somewhat disappointed that I was not advised to book a different activity, rather than duplicating what I specifically asked for. It is okay, not earth-shattering. I don't like to spend time answering your question as to what happened.
In short, I do not want to spend more time writing about what happened.

The museum is great, but there is not enough time to go through. Our guide assumed we wanted to walk the streets to see the exteriors of other museums in the area, eating places, etc. Our guide was too eager to spend time and pay attention to the beginning of the tour at the Picasso museum; as a result, we had to rush through the last part. Better time management is needed.

Coraima planned an amazing honeymoon trip for us in Portugal. Our guides Frederico and Alex gave us all the beauty of Sintra and ended each day with great local authentic restaurant recommendations. Sintra Marmòis Camelia is beautiful hotel that also gave us access to free live music and wine tastings at their sister hotel within walking distance.
Our time at Casa de São Domingos in Regua was wonderful. This is a beautiful place with breathtaking views everywhere you look. Vasco gave us a great tour of his family winery Quinta Barqueiros. It felt more like we were hanging out with a friend in their home who was explaining their passion and career to us than paying an overtired guide just trying to get through the day.
Lagos is beautiful and we will hopefully be able to spend more time in Algarve in the future. MN56 has it all and is right in the heart of all the action. We questioned whether we should do both the kayak and boat tour on back to back days. Do them both! Our walking food tour with Sophia was potentially the highlight of the trip. She was friendly, funny, and showed us some of the best food we have ever had.
Our cooking class with Chef Angela at Cooking Lisbon which included a trip to the market together was an unforgettable experience. I only wish we had more time to spend in Lisbon. If you’re visiting Portugal you MUST go see Fado. We had a delicious dinner accompanied by live Fado at a rustic family run restaurant called Senhora do Fado.
My wife and I are very busy and planning a trip like this isn’t something that falls in our wheelhouse. Coraima and KimKim made it so easy to take this trip. Our hotels, transfers, and daily activities were all planned and everything happened seamlessly every step of the way. The KimKim app gave us our itinerary at our fingertips and made contacting any guides, drivers, hotels, etc. foolproof.

I absolutely 10/10 recommend Coraima and KimKim for planning any travel/vacations and can guarantee we will be repeat customers.

This was a great day. Unfortunately, we were not aware of how windy and chilly Sintra can be in May. We were freezing cold at Pena Palace, all of which is either outdoors or in the open. It was very different weather in Sintra than Lisbon. The town of Sintra is adorable and our tour guide, Philip, treated us to amazing pastries. We really enjoyed Quinta da Regaleira. Cannot say enough good things about this hike. We LOVED it. We had a lovely lunch at O Camilo - make a reservation as it was crowded and there was a long wait! The path has gorgeous views. It's also great for running and we went another night for a spectacular sunset, which was a very popular time there. The stairs to Praia de Camilo were unfortunately closed, and we read that's the best place to walk down to a beach. There is another set of stairs further down the path but they do not lead to a beach. Highly recommend.

This was our favorite day. We went to a small winery in an old convent. We went to the production facility and learned about how the wine is made. The tasting room was beautiful and they had great wines and a lovely cheese plate for us. We then went to a second and larger winery with a gorgeous patio where we did the tasting outside. We tasted a number of wines and had tapas with it. We would have liked to have had the visits to the palace and cathedral in Sevilla organised for us. We were told by everyone in Sevilla it is a must visit so we were surprised these were not included. But the walking tour was fantastic. We enjoyed exploring the old city and learning about the quirks and stories of this beautiful city. Our accommodation in Sevilla was lovely and Ana looked after us very well. We were however swamped by crowds and noise outside of the apartment by a Netflix premiere which was being set up across the road from our apartment which made getting in and out a bit tricky and kept us up at night.
We organised our own additional jamon excursion to Jabugo which we loved. Such an amazing day in the countryside tasting very high quality jamon.
Overall, a fantastic trip and we would love to return to Spain soon!

First off, I want to appreciate our agent, Coraima. She planned a terrific trip! Sh was very knowledgeable and really took great care of us through out the journey. First off, I want to appreciate our agent, Coraima. She planned a terrific trip! Sh was very knowledgeable and really took great care of us through out the journey. Our Spain trip included three locations, Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid. Through it all, Kimkim was there for us and really made the journey easy. The Kimkim AP is a bit of a work in progress, but the key to what make this group work is how responsive the whole team was when we needed them. 24/7 they all seemed to be there for us.

Hotels? Good solid choices with central locations, good breakfasts and very helpful concierge.

Travel was easy. Either drivers, uber, or trains were all accessible and simply laid out in our schedule.

Tours were all a little crowded, but we’re not really “crowd” people. The one thing I will say is that across the board we met the nicest people! The leaders of the tours were all very knowledgeable and engaging. “Just enough” is how I would describe them all.

Favorite experiences…probably “paella cooking lessons.” Shout out to our chef who was SO entertaining and dynamic! Personally, I could have lived without the flamingo dancing and tapas evening. Not that it wasn’t entertaining (and this is subjective)… but the tapas were just ok and the performance was just a little cheesy.

Extra note…both my wife and I caught colds. The hotel in Barcelona sent us a doctor who was amazing and the medical system in Spain was really remarkable. Easy access pharmacies and educated help.

Bottom line, we just had a sensational time!!
