We took our granddaughter to Greece for her 16th birthday! We had used kimkim last year for a trip to the Lofoten Islands for her brother's 16th. Their service is impeccable from the initial planning to helping you when you are abroad. You work with agents who have traveled extensively to the places you are planning to visit and they tailor the trip to the needs of the group. Our trip took us to Athens, Nafplio, Paros and Santorini. Nafplio was a total surprise and probably one of our favorite places. We had our best meal there and had a fabulous guided kayak and snorkel trip with George. It was the first capital of Greece and the old town is totally charming with great restaurants and shops and not crowded with tourists. The catamaran cruise in Paros was also a highlight especially for our granddaughter. She loved the stop where she could jump off a 30 foot cliff into the water. The grands loved taking the pictures and also swimming in the crystal blue water. Santorini sunsets are amazing and we could go on and on. If we ever had a problem or were worried about a driver being late, we just texted and had an answer in less than a minute. Thank you for making the entire vacation so seamless.

Kayak & Snorkel Adventure in the Sunken City of Epidaurus

George was amazing! We loved being on the water and we loved snorkeling over the sunken city. I have to admit that I thought the sunken city was going to be huge, but it's not. You get up close and personal to the old jugs and walls of the city. George and Lucy (his dog who kayaks with you) made the whole day!

Thanks for all your help with this trip. Apart from a few hiccups all went as planned and we loved Greece.

Both hotels were amazing, especially the Limeni Village Hotel, that was just fabulous! I could spend the rest of my life there!

The Athens Manor Houses were also super nice, but it was a bit of a shame that the breakfast room is downstairs without any windows. The breakfast was great, though, they even had all the ingredients for pancakes with bacon and maple syrup :)

And the guide of the food tour was really great, I forgot his name unfortunately, but he is a great guide, very fun, knowledgeable, and really good in getting warm with a group of people :)

Greece is such a beautiful place! We started in Athens and spent time on the islands of Mykonos, Naxos, and Santorini before returning to Athens. Highlights were the hike on Santorini (we did Oia to Imerovigli where we stayed), the farm cooking visit in Naxos, and the Acropolis in Athens.
Regarding kimkim, the booking was pretty easy and we used them specifically because our friends we were traveling with had used them for other trips. It did seem that once the trip started the support was lacking. No check ins, we had to discover changes and issues for ourselves and then alert them for help, and while the response were quick it felt like they should have been alerting us and assisting proactively given what we paid for the trip. They did offer a small refund (~2% of our trip cost) but generally if it wasn’t for our friend’s prior experience, we would not consider using them again.

Our 25th anniversary trip to Greece was magical! Siena was amazing from start to finish. We worked together on building the best fit trip for my family of 4 and we were very happy with all the support we received even during our trip! This is our second trip with Kim Kim (last trip was Italy), can't wait to start planning the next one!

This was our fourth trip planned through Kimkim and our friends’ first experience with the service. Unfortunately, based on this trip alone, our friends would not use Kimkim again, and we are now hesitant to use the service for future travel as well.

The attention to detail from our local specialist was lacking compared with our previous experiences. After receiving our final itinerary, we identified several discrepancies that we had to proactively point out and have corrected. Once in Greece, we also experienced transportation issues and found ourselves having to track down information and details rather than being proactively notified or assisted by the local agency.

While we ultimately enjoyed our trip and had many wonderful experiences, there are several things we would have done differently had we been given more thorough information and guidance during the planning process. One of the primary reasons we have used Kimkim in the past is for the expertise, attention to detail, and local insight that come with using a travel specialist. Unfortunately, we did not feel we received that same level of service on this trip.

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Greece. Both Siena and Lea were wonderful to work with, curating a fantastic trip according to our wish list, following up to ensure all of our questions were answered, and checking in during our vacation to confirm that all was well. We enjoyed each and every activity and location as they were all varied and enjoyable. Our absolute favorites were the Ancient Athens Acropolis Walk (the guide was very engaging and informative), the Naxos Old Town Food Walk (the guide was perfectly delightful), and the Sunset Caldera Catamaran Cruise (the crew was outstanding!). Having said that, I truly loved all of the other activities, too. The self-guided hike from Fira to Oia (in Santorini) was a great challenge with the best of views and the ultimate satisfaction upon completion. Thank you a million times for making our mother-son trip the absolute best it could be. I will recommend Kimkim to all of my family and friends, and will get in touch for another trip in the future.

So wonderful to be out on the water, in the Caldera. Loved the numerous stops and the opportunity to snorkel. The food was amazing and the sunset at the end was spectacular.

All drivers were friendly. It was a bit hectic at the end of the evening, trying to find our shuttle van, as so many people were scrambling to find their rides. Just pay close attention and keep asking questions until you find your ride.

Self-Guided Hike From Fira to Oia

I don't think we'll ever have another hiking experience like this one. It was long and a bit challenging for this 63-year-old but the satisfaction in completing it was amazing. My son also did the little detour to the Skaros Rock, which he absolutely loved.

My husband and I had a wonderful time in Greece. Siena with KimKim asked all the right questions and curated a trip special to us. We don't like big groups and Siena found us adventurous private tours throughout Greece. All of our guides were super, but George with YourGuide.crete went above and beyond! He guided us through the Kourtaliotiko Gorge Hidden Waterfall & River Trek which was AMAZING! He even took us to our next town after the adventure, saving us 3 hours in the car. All of the hotels, hand-picked by Siena were outstanding. The transfers were timely and very comfortable, providing private shuttle to and from locations. It was a dream vacation and flawless. Highly recommended!
