Authenticity
The DOM Boutique opened in 2019, so it doesn't have the historical charm of some hotels in Heraklion, but its location gives you access to all the history you need. Step outside, and within minutes, you'll be at the Lion's Fountain or Venetian Fortress, reminding you that you're in Crete—even if the hotel itself feels more like an homage to Mad Men. Guests can return to the cozy lobby bar and lounge after a day of exploring to have a drink next to the fireplace in the winter or a cool cocktail in the summer.Location
Situated just a block north of Theotokopoulos Park, surrounded by cafés and one of the best restaurants in Heraklion (Peskesi, if you're interested), the DOM Boutique Hotel is in a perfect central location. Walk to Lion Square in under five minutes and reach the Rocca a Mare Fortress in under 10. Those with cars can park in the lot right across from the DOM Boutique and then head out to Knossos, just 20 minutes away by car.Rooms & Bathrooms
All 37 rooms have balconies but differ in size, amenities, and whether they have a city or courtyard view. The city-view rooms get a bit more noise in the high season. Rooms are decorated tastefully with wood, marble, and clean lines, and their use of indoor plants and artistic pieces makes them feel warm and appealing. The smallest room is ideal for solo travelers and doesn't feel too cramped. Families or groups can check out connecting room options or the triple room, which includes a sofa bed. There's an option for guests with wheelchairs. If you're looking for more luxury, book the junior suite with a hot tub on its terrace overlooking the sea.Amenities
DOM Boutique Hotel doesn't have amenities like a pool, spa, or gym. It does have a lobby bar serving cocktails, rooms for travelers with reduced mobility, and an elevator to reach upper-floor rooms.Family-Friendliness
The hotel is somewhat family-friendly. Kids up to age two stay for free, and those up to age seven stay for a reduced rate. The best family rooms are triples with a sofa bed or connecting Deluxe Double Rooms. Babysitting service is available with advanced notice, and there are high chairs in the breakfast room.Other Highlights
While there's no full-service restaurant, the hotel offers a daily breakfast buffet that's served in the ground floor atrium and a small dining room without much natural light. A stylish lobby bar serves a full bar menu.Like what you see?

This hotel was very conveniently located in the city center and walking distance to a small grocery store, museums, shops, and restaurants. The room was a small size hotel room. Breakfast was included and consisted of a wide selection of a la carte food and drinks.

Stayed here one night just to sleep. The hotel was beautiful, modern, and clean. Oddly located on a side street that gets busy but we didn't stay in the hotel except to sleep and it was conveniently located to tons of shops and restaurants. Beautiful area to walk about and sightsee.

This is a good hotel near the main market area and the port. The rooms are nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent--they opened it early just for us because we had an early ferry to catch. It's within walking distance of the main places to visit in town.
