Charming 19th-century Greek mansion with a restaurant, fireside lounge, and garden

Overview

Located near Ürgüp in the historically rich town of Sinasos, Gül Konakları Sinasos offers you comfortable accommodation in beautifully restored late 19th-century Greek mansions. Enjoy staying in the charming village of Mustafapaşa and within walking distance from attractions like Aios Vasilios Church, Cappadocia Art and History Museum, and Nikolos Monastery. Enjoy the peace and tranquility away from the buzz while still within easy reach of the area's highlights.

Gül Konakları Sinasos features 19 guestrooms, each with its own unique character and a blend of traditional and modern décor. You'll enjoy antique furnishings with colorful linens, large woven rugs, and historic details like arched stone ceilings, wood flooring, and exposed brick walls. Some rooms even feature coffered ceilings and stained glass windows. If you'd like more space or are traveling with family, you can book one of the suites or family rooms, sleeping up to four guests. Keep in mind that some rooms have only two single beds, and they aren't always next to one another.

You'll quickly notice the hotel's dedication to maintaining the authenticity and character of its original Greek estates. The hotel features multiple common areas with preserved details, including the Rose Pavilion, a cozy fireside lounge, and the large Main Hall, where you can relax and unwind after exploring Cappadocia. Enjoy fine dining with local dishes prepared using traditional methods in the hotel's tandoor, sit outside on the terrace under the shade of old trees, and stroll through the beautiful rose gardens.

I will dream of this hotel forever. Perfection, top to bottom-- (well, near perfect-- I would've loved a fridge in the room There was cabinet for one but none there.) Staff was warm, kind, helpful, personable, even playful. The place is beyond charming. I could not get enough of the garden. Sat out there every chance I could. Would have preferred a hot dish for breakfast, but in that garden, I almost didn't care. Yet when i made that comment to Hatice, the next morning the very kind... Read more

Would have preferred a hot dish for breakfast, but in that garden, I almost didn't care. Yet when i made that comment to Hatice, the next morning the very kind waiter, Recep, brought me a sizzling skillet of Turkish eggs! That's how to do it. HIGHLY recommend it! And a perfect way to close my trip. I hated to leave. The only hotel on the trip that felt like the experience of the hotel was part of the journey.

The Gul Konaklari in Sinasos is a special property to stay at while in the Cappadocia region of Turkey. It is a beautiful former Greek Mansion that is quiet and beautiful. The staff is attentive and as friendly as they come. We enjoyed both the sumptuous breakfasts, as well as the delicious dinners. What we also appreciated about the hotel is its location, away from the touristy section of the region. The town of Sinasos is a lovely location. Read more

It was like living in a time long ago. A beautifully restored mansion. Rooms were comfortable and the service was excellent. The meals were fine dining which we had not expected. Loved it. The town of Mustafa Pasha where it is situated is very charming. I had watched a Turkish serial and this hotel was chosen as a location in that show. When I arrived there it looked so familiar and the staff confirmed that it was the same place on the show. Read more

This is far from your regular hotel / B&B experience . You stay in either of 2 heritage properties that transport you to another world. The ambience is extremely well maintained by the owners and they spend a lot of time with you explaining the history of the location. Wonderful people! Cappadocia is a place from your dreams and it’s best experienced from a place like this, unless you want to experience staying at a rock / cave hotel. Read more
