This was our favorite hotel! Nice room with sitting area. Great breakfast, great location and super staff.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Santa Lucia. Centrally located, the accommodations are lovely and the staff warm and welcoming.
Overview
For centuries, the Heritage Hotel Santa Lucia has been distinguished in Split's cultural, social, and political scenes. It's nestled in Pjaca—also known as People's Square—which has served as the core of the old city since the 1770s. This historic hotel, restored and reopened in 2021, is a gateway to the past, just a 1-minute stroll from Jupiter's Temple and three minutes from Saint Domnius Cathedral. Since you'll be in Diocletian's Palace, everything is within walking distance, though the beaches are a bit farther out, between 10 and 30 minutes.
With just over 30 rooms, Heritage Hotel Santa Lucia is quaint yet offers contemporary comfort and tradition. Each room is clean, spacious, and well-lit, with wooden parquet floors and neutral tones that reflect Split's natural environment. Families have found the rooms with a shared terrace to be particularly fitting. And for those looking for a bit more space, the Deluxe Suites are equipped with seating areas and beautiful views.
Within the hotel, you'll find a few different dining options. Start your day with a breakfast spread in the Secret Garden, and cap it off with a fine dining experience on the La Luce terrace, which offers views of the Old Town and the bell tower of Saint Dominus. For a casual setting, enjoy a cup of coffee paired with homemade cakes.
