Bridget Pauley

I love helping travellers connect with the people and places in Peru. Exploring the world in-depth is a key philosophy of my own travels over the years, and when it comes to Peru, what better country is there for delving into rich culture, history, cuisine and geography?!

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Peru. We specialize in real human encounters, real adventure, and taking our guests off the tourist track and under the surface of these places, meeting locals and sharing their lives. We also run adventure trips in the Galápagos Islands."

How did you get involved in travel?

"At the ripe age of 17, I headed off to Mexico for six months much to my mother's delight, and set myself up in the beautiful city of Puebla, volunteering at an orphanage and living with a local host family. From the day I arrived I remember being so excited and in complete awe of the different way of life.

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel, and live, in several amazing countries doing everything from Teaching English in Madrid, to Ski Instructing in California. So far I’ve explored over 35 countries, and still have a never-ending list of places I want to check out! "

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"In 2011 on a four-month stint around South America, I took a local boat down the Amazon from Leticia, Colombia to Manaus, Brazil. While cruising down the river and with not a lot to do, my days consisted of playing cards with the locals, napping in my hammock and watching the Amazon jungle go by for hours on end. I even managed to spot a pod of the famous Amazon pink river dolphins playing alongside the boat!"
