Kristy is a Peruvian-American who is originally from Los Angeles but now calls Lima, Peru her home. She works as a Travel Advisor for Peru for Less, where she creates perfect itineraries for her clients and oversees the booking process to make sure everything goes as planned.

"I specialize in all things that is Peru! From the city of Lima, where I currently live, to Cusco where you can visit the magical ruins of Machu Picchu. Looking to do a trek? I got you covered as well. Peru for Less offers the classic 4-Day Inca Trail Trek, the Salkantay trek, the Lares Trek and the Choquequriao Trek. I am also your go-to-girl on restaurant recommendations. After all, Lima is the gastronomical capital of Latin America. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I grew up visiting Peru and would fall more in love with the country with every visit. In March 2016, I wanted a change and decided to make the big move to Lima, Peru. I thought, what better way to work as a Travel Advisor and help people plan their trips to a country so close to my heart. I would consider myself a local now and will only offer the best advice and restaurant recommendations in Peru! "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I've been to Cusco 3 times now and in 3 different travel styles, from staying at hostels to staying at the JW Marriott. The one experience I will never forget is when I went with a group of friends on a budget and without an itinerary. We decided to just show up to Cusco and wing it. Needless to say, we were a mess but had the best time! We stayed at hostels, it was freezing, we were wearing every layer of clothing we had and we had our hair washed at the local hair salon because the hot water was not working at our hostel. Despite those small mishaps, we were still able to enjoy the beauty of the city. Cusco is a magical place filled with great energy and is one of my favorite places in the world. "
