How did you get involved in travel?
"When I finished my O levels I traveled to a less known location in Kenya and loved it so much and thought we need more people to see this beauty. I joined university to study Tourism Management and once I graduated, I started working at a start up travel company dealing with off the beaten path destinations - I was hooked. Since then I spent all my years sharing my knowledge of less traveled destinations with travellers , selling bespoke travel adventures and eventually found myself at home with Kimkim"

"It was a sunny but cold afternoon 3,800m altitude on lake Titikaka, Bolivia. I had just started off my South America "finding myself" journey and spoke no Spanish. Seeing the blue skies I opted to do a relaxed boat excursion of the lake . it was about 8-10 C so i bundled myself and went on the boat. i sat at the top to enjoy the stunning views. Having grown up in Africa and never really experiencing low temperatures i knew sunscreen was only necessary when the sun was out. ~I had a great day and returned to hotel in the evening and slept. Waking up the following morning, i woke up with literally half my face as the rest was so sun burned and had peeled off in the night. traumatized run to reception and trying to have this conversation about loosing my face. the ladies spoke only Spanish and I only English. an older grandma passing by noticed our frantic gestures, went away and returned with something( simillar to aloe) without saying a word she sat down started puting the coolant on my face as she muttered things to herself. she later asked the ladies to bring some drink which i was asked to drink. The grandma later signed for me to rest and without a word i took a nap and when i woke up. my skin was better, i was relaxed and everyone was smiling. Moral of story wear sunscreen always wear sunscreen and there good people in the world
