Marianne Costa
Although I'm thirty, I like to think that I still have the energy and optimism of a twenty-year-old. I'm the mother of Maria Luiza and an activist who supports women's empowerment and entrepreneurship. I love interacting with members of local communities, swapping stories and sharing knowledge. I founded Vivejar after 10 years of in-depth professional experience with local development, sustainable tourism, and entrepreneurship.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Anything that empowers local communities and women will be on my tourism radar in Brazil. At Kimkim I suggest a few of the programs that will make you leave positive impacts at the destination you visit - in a truly effortless way. Just the fact you choose one of this trips already helps (a lot!) all your hosts.
I have a special connection with the Amazon, the indigenous communities and the hidden treasures the rainforest keeps. In case you nature, culture, remote areas is your interest just message me and I'll be your guide through the Amazon.
A project I worked from the very beginning is the "From Clay to Art" program, which is online here at Kimkim. These amazing, strong women show their talent in pottery creating unique pieces that are now in the main art museums of the world, the NYC United Nations and some other important spots. "
