What places and activities do you specialize in?
"As a tour specialist who spent 17 years guiding in Morocco, I specialized in a wide range of experiences that showcase the country’s rich culture, history, and diverse landscapes:
1. Marrakech: Exploring the vibrant medina, with its bustling souks, historical landmarks like the Koutoubia Mosque, and the tranquil Majorelle Garden. A visit to the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square is a must for its unique street performances, food stalls, and traditional Moroccan life.
2. Atlas Mountains: Hiking through stunning Berber villages and valleys, offering views of rugged peaks, terraced fields, and ancient kasbahs. It’s perfect for those looking for adventure or an authentic cultural experience with local communities.
3. Sahara Desert: Camel treks through the dunes of Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga, experiencing a night under the stars in desert camps, and visiting oases where you can learn about Berber traditions and the desert’s ancient ways of life.
4. Fes: A deep dive into the ancient city, home to the world’s oldest university, the Al Quaraouiyine. Wandering the labyrinthine alleys of the medina, exploring the tanneries, and visiting the Bou Inania Madrasa are highlights.
5. Chefchaouen: Known for its blue-painted buildings, this mountain town offers a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for photography, walking tours, and simply soaking in its unique charm.
6. Coastal Cities (Essaouira & Agadir): Exploring the coastal beauty, with fresh seafood in Essaouira, windsurfing in Agadir, or simply walking along the beach with views of the Atlantic Ocean.
7. Cultural Activities: I also specialize in giving visitors hands-on experiences with local crafts, cooking classes to learn Moroccan cuisine, and exploring traditional Moroccan music and dance.
Whether you're seeking adventure, history, culture, or relaxation, Morocco offers something for everyone, and I love tailoring each experience to make it unforgettable."
How did you get involved in travel?
"I grew up in a small beach town where only a handful of tourists come to surf during their visit. As a kid, I admired how many miles they have travelled so as they could get the best wave for the experience to share. That has made me believe delivering experiences to travelers means a whole lot more than just a picture, it means a story to share for many more years to come. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"One unforgettable experience in Morocco was my first tour back in 2007 when Ispent a night under the stars in the Sahara Desert. After a camel ride through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, we arrive at a Berber camp, where we were welcomed with mint tea and music. As night falls, the vast desert empties of sound, and the sky bursts into an overwhelming display of stars. The stillness is unlike anything else, and there's a profound sense of peace in the isolation of the desert. The next morning, the sunrise over the dunes feels like a personal gift from the desert itself. It's a truly magical moment that stays with you long after you leave."
