Yulia Kulyk
I've been in tourism for quite a long time. I had my own travel company and was opening up Ukraine for many travellers from all over the world. Tourism is my life and my love. Suddenly it all changed in my country because of the war, and I ended up in the Netherlands, where I live now.
How did you get involved in travel?
"My beginning was when I first traveled abroad ( I was something around 18 years old), I saw many foreign tourists and then I somehow knew that this is what I'd like to do in my life - to help people explore new destinations, to immerse themselves in new cultures, get unforgettable emotions and memories. "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I am from Ukraine, and when I had my own incoming travel company, I had the opportunity to travel not just around my own country, but around the world too.
However my feeling towards my country, when I discovered new places, they are the most precious that I will never forget. I am always impressed with diversity, uniqueness and authenticity of my homeland.
My "never forget" trips were in the US and Singapore too. I first came to New York in 2016, and I remember standing at the Brooklyn Bridge, staring at Manhattan's view and I couldn't believe I can see it not through movies.
Singapore was something like traveling to the future, many many years further. If you have been there, I am sure you know what I mean. "
