How to Get from Korčula to Ston

Located on the Pelješac peninsula, Ston is only 41 miles (66 km) from Korčula Town, located on the eastern tip of the island of Korčula, making this an easy trip. You'll need to take a ferry, combined with either a car or bus. 

Public transportation on Korčula island is limited and the most convenient way to get around is by car. Using a private transfer service is the easiest way to explore the region, especially if you prefer to leave the driving to a local. Getting from Korčula to Ston by bus is an option but note that services are limited.

By Private Transfer and Car Ferry

Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours

Traveling by private transfer is the most convenient way to travel from Korčula to Ston, but this is also the most expensive option. The drive from Korčula Town (on the eastern tip of the island) to Ston will take approximately two hours, including the 15-minute ferry crossing from Dominče to Orebić on the Pelješac peninsula. If you're traveling from Vela Luka on the western coast of  Korčula island, the journey will take at least 30 minutes longer. By Rental Car and Car Ferry

Duration: 2 to 2.5 hours

Departures: 12:10 am – 10:10 pm. Up to 18 departures daily.

Traveling by rental car is a convenient way to explore  Korčula island and the neighboring Pelješac peninsula. From Korčula Town, head to Dominče where you can take one of the regular ferries connecting to Orebić on the Pelješac peninsula. The crossing takes only 15 minutes. From Orebić follow the D414 to Ston.

By Bus and Car Ferry

Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes - 2 hours and 15 minutes

Traveling by bus is an affordable way to explore Croatia. Arriva buses are air-conditioned and have free wifi on board. There are three daily bus services connecting Vela Luka and Korčula Town to Ston on the Pelješac peninsula. The bus journey includes the ferry crossing from Dominče to Orebić. During the summer season, this is a popular route—be sure to book your seats in advance.
