Visit a local honey farm in Ancient Olympia with this two-hour private guided activity. Your host, Clio, will welcome you with a cup of coffee or a glass of juice. You'll surely feel the Greek hospitality as you interact with your hosts and chat in the garden of a traditional farmhouse.

Clio will share the beekeeping process with an interactive workshop. She ensures that both kids and adults will enjoy the fun, revealing the secrets of honey and caring for bees. Then, enjoy a honey tasting paired with a traditional diples dessert. This crunchy fried dough is best when drizzled with local honey!

While the activity was somewhat interesting, the reality fell short of expectations. The time of day was also unfortunate - several in our group were fighting to stay awake. The honey was delicious, but lacked depth of flavor. Read more

While the activity was somewhat interesting, the reality fell short of expectations. The time of day was also unfortunate - several in our group were fighting to stay awake. The honey was delicious, but lacked depth of flavor.

Tips for future travelers

Don't get your expectations up too high - it's not actually a working honey farm. Lots of pictures, not much hands on. I don't think any of our group purchased honey, but several of us purchased bees wax balms.
