What you'll do

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to your first stop. Start at a historic cave church, humbly yet strongly built to withstand treacherous earthquakes. Witness the serene atmosphere of the island's scenic rural landscape while your local guide tells you more about the history of the place.

Explore the tranquil village of Emporio, where you can take a peaceful stroll and admire the stunning architecture. Capture the classic Cycladic buildings, the majestic blue-domed churches, and the remnants of the Venetian Castle, which have existed for centuries.

Before you move on to your next stop, you will visit a local organic farm. Your guide will tell you all about how Santorini's volcanic soil plays a significant role in the growth of delicious produce. You'll have the chance to taste test ripe crops at peak freshness. Your next destination will be the iconic Santorini windmills. Enjoy the picturesque views while your guide gives you insight about the spot. Dating back centuries, these windmills have become a symbol of the island and are sure to take your breath away.

Conclude your excursion at Vlychada Beach, a beautiful beach where you can relax. It's a gorgeous spot with crystal-clear waters, dramatic cliffs, and unique volcanic sand. Plus, you'll find plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas, and nearby cafés and restaurants to make the most of your visit.

Our absolute favorite! Our guide, I wish i knew her name so i could recommend her, was extremely knowledgeable about all details, history, architecture, agriculture, wine & it’s history of being the “oldest vines known” because of the lack of soil in Santorini and the roots growing in the constantly spongey/damp pumice stone of the lava landscape.. every little bit of information we soaked it up! I wish I had her with us our entire trip! She took great pictures for us & others. So incredibly kind and if we had the chance would have made lifelong friends! I’d love her name and to find her on Facebook etc!!

Tips for future travelers

If we were to go back.. at our ages.. we would have stayed in Santorini the entire trip & had adventures to surrounding islands/areas from there! There’s just so much more to see!! The minimum of 2 days… wasn’t enough!
