What you'll do

Your tour begins with a comfortable drive to the scenic village of Firostefani, a charming settlement known for its stunning views of the Caldera. As you navigate the old cobblestone paths, you will be captivated by the iconic blue dome of the Aghioi Theodoroi church, a frequent subject in photos of Santorini. If the church is open, you can explore its interior and admire the historic icon on the chancel screen. Your knowledgeable local tour leader will guide you through Firostefani, sharing stories of its past as you pass by the church of Aghios Gerassimos and the lively town square, a hub for both locals and tourists.

Continuing your journey, you'll follow the Venetian path to the church of the Prophet Ilias. Perched at 304 meters above sea level, this picturesque church, built in 1750, offers breathtaking views of the island's east and west sides due to its strategic location at Santorini's narrowest point. The striking white building with its blue dome and triple bell tower is a sight to behold, providing a serene backdrop for photography enthusiasts and admirers of architectural beauty alike.

Next, you will visit the enchanting village of Oia, renowned worldwide for its captivating scenery and extraordinary sunsets. Stroll through narrow streets adorned with charming houses, blue-domed churches, and sun-soaked verandas. Oia, quieter than the bustling Fira, allows you to immerse yourself in its artistic atmosphere, accentuated by numerous art galleries and picturesque pathways. From the entrance car park, enjoy leisurely walks through the village, taking in the less imposing yet stunning views of the volcano and Thirassia island.

The tour concludes at Monolithos Beach, an ideal spot for relaxation on the southeast coast of Santorini. Known for its crystal-clear waters and pristine black sand, this beach offers an idyllic setting for unwinding. The village of Monolithos derives its name from the large rock 'Monolitho' on which the church of Agios Ioannis stands, adding a touch of history to your tranquil beach experience.

A good way to see Santorini in a short period of time. Even at end of season, Santorini was very busy. There were two cruise ships in port. It would be most unpleasant if there were four or five, a common occurrence during the peak season. We did not know before we got to Santorini that there is an archeological site on Santorini that we would probably have preferred to the Panoramic views tour but it was not offered as an option and we did not have time to add it. It was sold and booked as a 6 hour tour and a 4 hours we were dropped off. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
A bit expensive for what it was. Seemed a bit expensive to run around the island for four hours...
