Overview
Nestled in the Ounila Valley of the High Atlas, Kasbah Titrit offers a simple yet tranquil retreat amid spectacular landscapes rich in Amazigh cultural heritage. Its location in the village of Tamdakhte is a haven for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and history enthusiasts. The valley, once a significant caravan route, is scattered with ancient kasbahs and adobe villages. The hotel is a mere 6-minute drive from Aït Benhaddou and about 40 minutes from Ouarzazate. As you unwind, you'll find yourself surrounded by almond groves and nestled among the gardens of Tamdakhte.
Kasbah Titrit's rooms and suites can feel a bit outdated or basic, yet all offer high ceilings, earthy construction, and wax-finish walls that showcase local architecture. Each unit features a spacious layout and a private terrace with views of the Atlas mountains. Bathrooms are crafted from tadelakt, a water-based, shiny, and waterproof lime plaster traditionally used in Moroccan design. Past kimkim travelers have mixed feelings; while some enjoyed the hotel and its views, others felt it was too outdated.
At Kasbah Titrit, you'll have access to the property's wellness area, which provides two hammams, a sauna, an indoor Jacuzzi, an outdoor panoramic Jacuzzi, a heated swimming pool, two massage rooms, a treatment room, and a gym. Enjoy a meal under the stars or a sunset aperitif on the panoramic terrace while taking in views of the Tamdakhte gardens and the Ounila Valley. The hotel's restaurant offers a blend of French and traditional Berber cuisine prepared with fresh, seasonal produce.

Super ample room with balcony and a huge comfortable bed. A bit difficult to take a shower in the bathroom but overall one of the nicest accommodations. Super kind staff. Good dinner and good breakfast. Very bad wifi, we had to be downstairs to get any reception. Read more
The only available shower had no walls or curtains and the shower head sprayed water everywhere - so it was impossible to shower without flooding the entire bathroom.

Cons: Found dinner to be a little more expensive than other places with the food only being OK compared to other places we stayed throughout Morocco. Note: this area was impacted by the recent earthquake (the hotel was fine!) so the town seemed especially quiet and you could see that some repairs were underway. Hope more people are able to come visit this beautiful... Read more
