3.7 (52 reviews) · Luxury
Elevated hotel with a spa, a rooftop eatery and outdoor pool, and a 24-hour fitness center

Overview

Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca is situated in the city's bustling business district, conveniently located within walking distance of Mohammed V Square and the Sacred Heart Cathedral. An 8-minute drive takes you to Hassan II Mosque, where you can stroll along the Marina of Casablanca.

The rooms at Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca are spacious and clean, with air conditioning, minibars, queen sofa beds, and private bathrooms with rainfall showerheads. The decor is tasteful and understated, with a focus on comfort. You'll sleep soundly on premium bedding with down comforters. For a touch of luxury, you can opt for an upgraded room, such as the Deluxe Suite or Two-Bedroom Family Room. However, do note that some past kimkim travelers have mentioned minor inconveniences like slow-draining sinks and heavily scented rooms.

At Mövenpick Hotel Casablanca, you can swim in an outdoor pool, relax in a sauna, and train at the 24-hour fitness center. The hotel's spa offers massages and treatments to rejuvenate your senses. When it comes to dining, the hotel offers a delicious buffet dinner at the restaurant on the 16th floor and French cuisine at the Casablanca Café. The hotel also offers a "Chocolate Hour," a daily treat of cocoa indulgence. In the evenings, enjoy the lively atmosphere at Graffiti, which features traditional Moroccan cuisine, music, and dancing.

More western than Moroccan, but that was okay.
Location
It wasn't too far from the airport. But we arrived late and were tired.
Staff
Staff upgraded us to a suite. Probably noticed we were dead tired.
Cleanliness & Comfort
Double-paned glass kept obvious street noises out of the room for a very quiet rest.

A comfortable but slightly tired looking western style hotel in the largest city in Morocco. Pool staff were a little standoffish and food offered wasnt really suitable for poolside eating. Variety of foods at breakfast was great and coffee was good.
Bath faucet wouldn’t stay on
Kettle in room didn’t work
Bed comfortable and aircon worked well

The roof top bar is really a great asset. The pool is nice and the bar staff are very good. I was happy to be able to start the trip off relaxing by the pool with a cocktail after our long journey from the United States.
Location
We were able to walk quickly to different sights and also Rick’s cafe where we had dinner. Were able to go to the soul and find some street food as well.
Staff
The staff at the buffet breakfast were amazing and helpful.

We did not spend much time at the hotel but enjoyed walking around the local park, Arab League Park, which was about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It was very well-maintained and beautiful to explore during sunset. There were plenty of families out having picnics, and it felt cool to be among locals. There were several well-rated restaurants in the neighborhood too.

The hotel breakfast buffet was huge and opened early, which we appreciated before an early morning flight. The food was much more typical of a European hotel, with a latte machine and omlet bar.

What can I say. It’s a hotel in a large city. Hardly fancy. After staying in the riads the rest of the trip, this was a disappointment, not because there was much wrong, but I prefer the riads hands down. This hotel room is about the same level as a holiday inn in North America. Nothing fancy. Small. No frills. Read more
