Hi everyone! I am Angela (or as my Greek friends call me, Aggeliki). Let me introduce myself: I am a travel and adventure lover just like you! I work in the travel industry, for a quiet few years now, and I love creating new exciting trips, tours, and above all, experiences for people from all around the world that choose to visit this amazing country called Greece. I am also an Adventure Travel Guide Standard Board Member Representing Greece since 2015.
Also, a member of ASTA (American Society of Travel Advisors Member #900327428).
Born and raised in the US by Greek parents, I have been living in Greece since 1992 and loving it - there is no better place to live! Sun, sea, mountains, rivers, nightlife, food, culture, people, parties, fun, and a safe environment all consist of making Greece the ideal place to live or (if you're not that fortunate), to travel to during your holidays or even for a city break!
I aim to give you a feeling of what Greece has to offer. Guidance, my recommendations on things to see and do during your stay, 'Don't Miss' tips, and plenty of other info to bear in mind before traveling or during your holidays here! Making amazing lifetime experiences for amazing people all over the world that choose Greece for their vacation, is my profession - so, let me help you experience Greece like never before through off-the-beaten-path tours and trips! Your trip will for sure be a memorable one! Get in touch!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"I specialize in each and every destination in Greece! Especially the hidden gems and the less mass tourism destinations. But even in the world famous islands, like Mykonos, Santorini and Crete, I know all the unique and authentic places to visit and see along of course with the must see and visit touristic spots. My expertise is providing unique, authentic, memorable experiences. Either you are an outdoor and adventure enthusiast, a food junkey, or a history and culture addict, or you just want to enjoy the alluring Greek blue of the beaches and islands, I've got you covered! I want to provide special moments that will for sure be the highlights of your trip. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I always loved traveling and discovering new places. Especially the hidden gems of each destination! From the moment I remember myself as an adult, I remember getting in my car and heading for road trips! I discovered each and every corner of Greece and met amazing locals along the way! As the years past by I found myself being a travel expert of Greece! Then it hit me! I have to share this knowledge with other people! So, I found a job at a travel agency and quickly scaled my self up to being the director of the incoming travel planning department. After getting the necessary knowledge of running a travel business I decided to establish my own travel company, back in June 2018. Still sharing my local expertise and experience with the same excitement as day one! "
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I once went with a group on a trip to Epirus Region. While having a walking tour in Metsovo village a took the group uphill so they can see the narrow streets and houses of the village away from the mass tourism spots. During our walk I turned my head and peaked inside a house. I saw a woman weaving on a loom and stood there and started talking to the group about how the locals use the weaving techniques and how this is part of the local culture. At that point the woman inside the house saw us and invited us inside to see the procedure up close! She showed us how it's done, she talked about how this is part of the local life and the ways they use the woven creations, and eventually sat every person of the group in the loom so they can personally experience the weaving procedure! It was an amazing experience for all of us and the people in the group were so excited and amazed by the hospitality of this local woman. It was the highlight of our trip for sure! "

Hi Peggy,
I'm really sorry to see that you didn't enjoy the your trip to the fullest. You never mentioned anything during the trip. On the contrary you always told me that you are having a great time and all was an amazing adventure.
The only ferry you had was the one between Santorini and Crete. That's because there is no straight flight connection between the islands.
For your transfer from Athens to Santorini and Crete back to Athens I recommend taking a flight - which you eventually did - exactly to reduce transfer times, as did keep in mind that you are senior travelers so reducing any hassle was my priority.
Finally, the full - detailed itinerary with all times and info was sent to you 22 days prior to your arrival (final full detailed trip plan sent on September 6th while your arrival was on September 28th).
So you knew 3 weeks ahead about how long each transfer would be take and the exact times of pick ups, etc.
I am honestly really sorry that I now know that something wasn't at your liking.
My ultimate goal is to offer lifetime experiences. Not only meet but exceed all expectations. I'm really sorry to know that I didn't manage to do that for you as I have done for so many travelers leaving superb feedback about their trip. ๐
Safe travels!

She really listened to our interests and developed a wonderful itinerary beginning in Athens with a mythological small group tour of Acropolis and other ancient sites with Kristina. We did a private half day walking food tour of neighborhoods in Athens with Elena. She was so knowledgeable about history, culture and of course food.
We moved on to Naxos and did a walking tour of old city with Katya. She had a wealth of information about architecture, history and cuisine of Naxos.
The following day we toured villages of Naxos. We sampled foods and climbed to ancient ruins, monasteries and other sites.
The last leg of trip was In Santorini. We spent a day away from caldera exploring other parts of Santorini and had a fabulous lunch with wine tasting in a garden. The final day was spent on a catamaran seeing the caldera from the water, swimming at different places along the caldera and ended with grilled dinner on the boat. Only 10 people and verycompetent crew.
It is hard to name each and every tour guide but I would say across the board, they were very knowledgeable, paced the day well and encouraged us to keep our steps up! There is a lot of walking and climbing. We are in our mid 70sand in good health. We felt challenged but not overwhelmed.

Athens
Sweet Home and tours were good.
Bike excursion with the kids worked out well - they did not have a bike small enough to fit the mom and attach kiddie bike to the back so the guide (Maria) took the 5 year old and all went well
Pick up van - it was an 8 person van which only allows for 7 passengers plus the driver so we were always short a seat - that is illegal in Canada but not sure of the details of the Greek laws
Naxos
Panos Studios were great - location near the beach, lovely proprietress. lots of inconsistency with the room cleaning but the proprietress was happy to correct.
Tours were good. I think we probably erred on the tipping re the farmhouse dinner when we gave it all to the "driver" and probably should have given most of it directly to the "cook". My apologies if that reflects on you.
We went to the same olive oil tasting on both the Once Upon a Time in Naxos and on the farmhouse dinner which was disappointing
2 nights of cooking with the private cook were excellent - they were so very good with the little girls
Catamaran cruise was a perfect length for us, nice snacks and staff
Tinos
Accommodation at Coocono Villas was amazing
Village tour was excellent and guide was very enjoyable and informative
Athens
Dolce accommodation was very disappointing - noone at reception when we arrived for ~5 minutes, the rooms are quite run down, one family member has issues with mold and their room had significant mold build on the floors around the bathroom, broken shelves and towel racks, the only option for dining was the noisy buffet as the restaurant was being used by a private party
You are aware of the challenges with the van driver on arrival however he was prompt on our trip to the airport although he did not know how to get to the airport from Dolce and was continually looking at his cell phone on his lap (he did not use the dash mounted hardware in the van)
We had a fabulous family vacation and appreciate all that you did it to make it what it was

I'll make sure that they won't happen again (mostly the Athens transfer issues which is surprising as we never had issues with the Athens transfer company but there is always a first time ๐คท). Dolce Attica was supposed to have a renovation going last winter but apparently they didn't or left it half done. I'll check into that.
I'm really excited to know that despite some hiccups you had an overall great family trip here in Greece with us.
I honestly wish those hiccups haven't ever occurred and my job is to make sure they never will again.

From the start, our specialist, Aggeliki, was excellent to work with. First she advised me what time of year would be best for travel to Crete (a very important thing to start off with). She modified the "pre-packaged" Crete tour to accommodate our specific interests (which were less hiking, more beaches, and food!). She answered questions about the tours offered so we could select what we liked, and also managed to fit in one final desired excursion on the day of our return flight to Athens. The excursions were fantastic: 3 were private --via Land Rover or sailboat-- and two were as part of a group of 10-12. All of the trips included beautiful countryside en route to their destinations. The sailboat to Gramvousa and Balos was the MOST amazing experience: cobalt blue waters turning into crystal clear turquoise blue as we approached the islands.
The best thing about working with Aggeliki was her immediate availability. We ran into a couple of minor snags (missed communication with one of our drivers; incomplete pass code information provided by one hotel to gain entrance to our suite) and she was there, literally in seconds (via text) facilitating their solution. It was so reassuring to know we had the kimkim team, and specifically Aggeliki there to manage any concerns we had (which as I will reiterate, were very few for an 8-day/7 night trip to Chania, Crete, from Athens)
I cannot overstate how pleased we were with the whole experience. I had always been the personal planner for my family and friends' excursions, but after a disappointing Jamaican holiday last December I decided to try a travel agency. I am so glad I did. My friend, my sister-in-law, and I agree this was the trip of a lifetime, perfect, and well worth the price!!!

Mirabile Luxury Suites Chania
Chania, Crete
The suites are ideally located in the town, one can walk across a street and be in the bustling Venetian Harbor section of shops and restaurants. The suites are modern, clean, comfortable and the soundproofing provided by the balcony doors was amazing. As noted, the Suites are in the center of a bustling area of town, but shutting the balcony doors brought quiet to the rooms.
The breakfasts were huge: 5 or 6 choices of prepackaged meals were delivered in a picnic basket to our door every morning.
Authenticity & Character
I'm not sure what authenticity and character means, so I will say these were nice, modern, well maintained accommodations. We were a reserved party of three in a two floor suite set up for only 2 people, so we needed to secure more room keys, another chair for the balcony, more coffee mugs and wine and water glasses and bathrobes, etc.
Location
Right in the heart of the town
Staff
The first desk receptionist would not give us (3 adult women) more than one room key. The second one was much more accommodating.

Our tour guide, Alex, really made this experience something special. He shared so much cultural, historical, and anecodotal information driving to the villa? estate? where we had the cooking class that the travel time flew by. We fed mulberry leaves to some sheep, we made stuff vegetables and hand pies, and then we ate a luscious meal of meat, potatoes, sald and our stuffed vegetables and pies. Hotel Reviews
AVA Boutique Hotel
Athens
Very clean and the executive suite is large with a kitchenette and separate bedroom. Quiet except for a couple emergency vehicles at night. Perfect location. The hotel's claim that Executive Suites have a view of the Acropolis, Hadrian Arch etc. is misleading---if you stretch out over the very small balcony overlooking the street and turn your head as far as possible to the side you can get a glimpse of them in a narrow opening down the street between buildings. Hotel breakfasts were extensive and very good. We used the reception/bar area for our family/friends group pre-meal cocktails with both our own wine and wine purchased from the bar. Staff was very friendly and helpful and on our last night they did recommend a restaurant in an out-of-the-way beautiful location that was the culinary highlight of the stay.
Authenticity & Character
While very clean and functional, there is really no notable character to the hotel.
Location
Perfectly placed for exploring the Acropolis and exploring central Athens on foot. We walked to meet our Acropolis and food tour guides. The nearby restaurants in the area are unremarkable cookie-cutter Greek restaurants. With the staff's help, we did find one exceptional restaurant off the main road.
Staff
Professional, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly. Maid service prompt and unimposing.
Cleanliness & Comfort
Bed was great, sitting room was spacious. Bathroom not huge but adequate. Good AC on hot days.
Overall it was very clean and functional. The staff were very helpful, friendly and personable. The rooms are of adequate size but the bathroom was small. Air conditioning was fine once we figured out how to set it - there were no instructions in the room. The fridge was cold but the tiny freezer was unable to keep ice frozen. Location is in an area that is a bit rundown. Easy walk to town. The beach at the hotel is ok but not as remarkable as other nearby beaches reached by bus (buy the tickets before you board) or taxi (expensive). The two pools were very clean and inviting. Maid service very prompt and efficient. Breakfasts were very extensive and many types of self-serve fresh-brew coffees were available. The layout of the hotel is a bit inconvenient in that you almost always need to go up and down short stairways to get around. The Galaxy pool is smaller and there were rarely, if ever, any shaded lounges available on sunny days. More umbrellas and chairs would be useful. The restaurant, serving breakfast and dinner adjacent to the large pool, was actually part of the next-door sister property Naxos Resort. Bar staff were admittedly worn out from a long season but did their best top put on a game face. If we did this trip again, we would not choose the Galaxy and instead have KimKim offer other choices.
Authenticity & Character
The walkways are attractive but the reception area and restaurant have little unique atmosphere.
Location
The area across from the hotel is dingy, a bit overgrown with a dirt parking lot. The beach is ok but bland.
Staff
Always offering to help, give directions, offer advice. They were friendly and professional.
Cleanliness & Comfort
It was clean and the beds comfortable. The tops of the low walls between the reception area and the Naxos Resort restaurant and pool were dirty.
Clean, with very friendly staff. Nice location with restaurants nearby and you can walk to the Acropolis. We only stayed one night so can't give a full review - except to compliment the staff for having a takeaway breakfast ready for us when we had to leave at 4:30.a.m.!

Naxos Culinary Tour
Greece
This tour was billed as a cooking class in someone's home with a farm and garden tour before making lunch and eating it outside under the trees. There was no farm or garden tour and lunch was served in the stuffy kitchen. But the most disappointing was that the meal was not something that seemed Greek. It was meatballs with two kids of potatoes - mashed and fried. I was expecting salads, filo dough, olive oil, honey - those kinds of things. Having to make common meatballs and peel potatoes seemed like work, not a culinary experience. Our driver/guide was suffering from a root canal and he tried his best to be helpful but you could tell he couldn't wait for the tour to be over. Same with us. Also, the tour said we would stop at a distillery (we did, just ok) and an artisan pottery studio (we didn't). The woman teaching the class was pleasant but she seemed tired. I suggest finding other options for anyone wanting a cooking class - this one wasn't great.

Naxos Sunset Cruise
Naxos
We had so much fun on this sunset cruise. The catamaran was spacious and classy - one of the nicest catamarans in the harbor. We were lucky with the weather - no wind, the water was like glass and the temperature perfect. The crew was nice but didn't engage with us much. They brought out two kinds of appetizers, including chunks of banana with honey and cinnamon that was different and delicious. They served plenty of ok chilled white wine. The crew anchored by the arch for the sunset, and we watched a big full moon rise over Naxos harbor on the way back (it was twilight). We were all in great spirits, lots of laughs, and this was one of the highlights of the trip.
Villages of Naxos and Beyond!
Naxos
This was just what we wanted on our first full day: an orientation on Naxos and a visit to three villages that coincidentally let us check out some hiking options. Guide Gina was enthusiastic, personable and knowledgeable, explaining the quarries and terrain as we entered the hills. She had only been on Naxos a year and the driver cheerfully added information during her narration on the way to the villages. We met very nice local cafe in Melanes who provided some delicious snacks. (If we had known there would be food we would have skipped breakfast. )
Quality of Experience
It exactly fit our wish to get oriented and familiar with Naxos.

Round Ferry Tickets between Naxos & Paros
Greece
Ferry vouchers and transport to/from Naxos ferry were all in order. We could have handled these easily ourselves but a couple in our group liked having the support of KimKim in case something went wrong (it didn't). The ferry boarding process is a bit disorganized but if you have ferry experience in your travels and go with the flow of passengers you're fine. Pay attention to announcements (in Greek) as you approach your destination, especially if you have a car, and go to the loading/unloading deck as it can take over five minutes to get to the boat exit and the ferries sometimes only stop for a few minutes. You may not make it off if you wait in your seat for the boat to dock.
Quality of Experience
All went very smoothly but we could have used some basic info on what to expect boarding and getting off the ferry.
A private tour in Paros
Paros
Between our research and the help of KimKim, this was a custom tour. While it was interesting and the guide very professional and knowledgeable, we would probably save a day and skip Paros as it's very similar to Naxos and we did not wish to just see more ruins. Paros villages seemed to have more of the original narrow streets and architecture than Naxos, but that atmosphere can be found on Naxos as well.
Quality of Experience
Perhaps be clear about what is different on Paros compared to other islands.
Guides, Drivers and Staff
The guide was very interesting and very genuine when asked about the tourist situation at Paros, how he perceived American tourists, and about political nuances in Greece.
Transport
On time, safe driver.
Athens Highlights Mythology Tour
Greece
The guide (Magdalena?) was exceptional and knowledgeable. When she realized that not many of our group of 12 were deeply into mythology, she adjusted and concentrated on pertinent facts about the Acropolis with just interspersed mythology references which were interesting. She did her best to maneuver through crowds, gained us immediate entrance to a couple areas that had lines, and several times we were off by ourselves near shade on a hot day.

The City Streets & Great Eats of Athens Tour
Greece
Leo the guide was very thorough and knowledgeable, not just about the food we sampled but also about the eating habits and daily lives of the average resident. He knew well the story of Athens and Greece and answered numerous questions about history. We walked several miles and he made sure we were all up to the task. The shopkeepers were friendly and appeared to like Leo. He took us to the old town with the street markets, where local fishmongers, butchers and produce stalls had all types of fresh and dried food on display.

AVA Boutique Hotel
Athens
We enjoyed this hotel very much. The staff was friendly and helpful, the accommodations were perfect, and the common areas for sitting and breakfast were very pleasant.
Location
Very central to all the places we wanted to visit.
Staff
Friendly and helpful at all times
Cleanliness & Comfort
Bed was comfortable for us, and room was very clean.
The Galaxy was very pleasant and comfortable.
Location
We coiuld walk to the port, to restaurants and to old town without a problem.
Staff
Very helpful in terms of making recommendations and providing directions. Always polite and respectful.
Cleanliness & Comfort
The only problem was the door to the bathroom which, because of the rather small size of the room, when open, blocked access to one side of the bed. Not a major problem, just inconvenient.
Wonderful place for a quick overnight stay before we left Athens to fly home.
Location
Not in the normal tourist area, but we had no need to shop since we were on our way home. The restaurant the staff recommended was very near and the best.
Staff
All the staff made us feel right at home. They even prepared a breakfast to go since we were leaving very early in the morning.

Athens Highlights Mythology Tour
Greece
The gathering point was extremely convenient since were were staying in the Ava Hotel. It was right at the end of the street at Hadrian's Gate. All the participants were divided into groups of about 12 and assigned a guide. Our guide Magda was extremely knowledgeable about the Greek gods, the myths surrounding them and their various relationships with each other and humans. She was funny, entertaining and personable.
We visited many sites such as the Acropolis, the Theater of Dionysis and the Sanctuary of Asclepios, along with many others. Madga had tales to share for all of them. She was excellent at explaining the complexities of life in those early times. Quite the historian!

The City Streets & Great Eats of Athens Tour
Greece
Fantantic tour! Our guide Leo was a native Athenian who met us in the lobby of the Ava Hotel. He was a fascinating narrator of the history of Greece as we walked through the city. In Plakia, where the Ava is located, Leo also explained the meal customs of most Greeks who eat a very light breakfast early before leaving for work but who then have a substantial snack around 10 am. Ours consisted of some famous spinach pie (spankopita) and some cheese pie. From there we stopped at a baklava shop where we each had a piece of the best baklava ever.
We reached Parliament Square where Leo explained why the guards were attired the way they were, and we witnessed the changing of the guards. From there we walked through an upscale area, and then visited the "Athenian Trilogy," three beautiful buildings completed in the 1890s.
Next was a visit to an olive oil shop where we learned about the various flavors and acidity levels. Our last stop was at a tavera where Leo ordered numerous delicious dishes for us to sample. It was the best we'd had so far. We walked back to the Ava through the market and old town. The five or so hours were well spent.
Villages of Naxos and Beyond!
Naxos
Gina, our tour guide, was delightful! We drove through the countryside, stopping first at a honey tasting place in the mountains with different honeys and teas and a delicious "lentern pie." This was followed by a visit to a Kouros, a statute made of marble, that had been abandoned after it was obviously dropped on the way down the mountain.
The next stop was in a town largely made of marble where we had a scrumptious lunch served with wine (included). The setting was idyllic! Then there was a Kipton tasting at an old house, now a museum. Our driver then drove us through the countryside and villages back to the Galaxy Hotel. A wonderful tour!

Naxos Culinary Tour
Greece
Two of us went on this excursion to a farm and a cooking class. The drive up to the farmhouse was very pretty.
Maria was the chef. When we arrived we were sitted at the kitchen table and offered zucchnini pancakes, cheese, spinach pie and a homemade brew made by Maria's husband. By the time we finished snacking, we were totally satisfied.
At that point, Maria presented us with aprons, and we began our lesson. We helped make some meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, sliced potatoes which Maria's husband cooked, and mashed still more potatoes. Maria then dished up large portions in spite of our pleas to make them small. The plates consisted of the meatballs and sauce, delicious fried potatoes wedges and mashed potatoes. We managed to eat some but not all. It was way too much food.

Naxos Sunset Cruise
Naxos
This was a wonderful evening! The weather was perfect and the water extremely calm. The two crew members, while not overly friendly, were attentive and competent. We were served white wine (no red on the boats apparently), delicious sliced bananas with honey and cinnamon drizzzled over them, and some small bread slices with tomates and cucumber.
The catarmaran itself was very comfortable. We sat on the front in comfortable padded seats leaning against the window. In the bay overlooking the Portara (the Temple of Apollo), the islandโs emblem and main landmark, we anchored and watched a beautiful sunset. A very nice experience.

We had another fantastic guide who took us to four villages, lunch at an excellent restaurant, and then a beach where we waded and enjoyed the scenery for half an hour.
The guide was knowledgeable and interesting, especially since he is somehow connected to the governing body of Naxos and was therefore able to give us details on many of the political aspects of life there.
It was an outstanding tour!

Our trip to Greece was incredible. The trip planning began a year in advance and our party of six (3 couples) wanted to experience all the history and culture of the Greek society. This became a reality after working with our local specialist, Angela (Aggeliki). She was absolutely amazing to work with. She provided a number of itineraries which included various locations and tours. After numerous questions and describing our desires, Angela developed an unforgettable vacation for us. She was responsive to all of questions before and during our trip. Any issues that arose, she would immediately offer suggestions and solutions. I cannot recommend Angela enough. She was friendly and truly has the best interests of her clients. We plan to visit Greece again, and we will definitely reach out to Angela and the KimKim Agency.
As for the tours on Athens, Naxos, Santorini and Crete, they were all exceptional. Each tour guide was professional, informative and engaging. Tour drivers were always on time and the buses were excellent Mercedes vans which suited our party of six perfectly. I would be remiss not to mention the names of each tour guide; Elena and Andres (Athens); Labrina and Elizabeth (Naxos); Felipe (Santorini); Roxani and Nicos (Crete). They were all great.
The accommodations at each location were also excellent. Ava Botique had a great location in Athens and was very spacious. 18 Grapes in Naxos was beautiful, but the service was unmatched; by far the best service during the trip. In fact, the owner of 18 Grapes invited the hotel residents back to his own personal vineyard to pick grapes and have a locally cooked dinner free of charge. We must have toasted "Yamas" a hundred times, drinking the wines of his vineyard and some Raki. The whole evening was so much fun. Iliovasilema Hotel in Santorini was also very nice. Dom Boutique Hotel in Crete was exceptional as well. Great location and very modern.
All in all, the trip was a 10 out of 10. I would absolutely recommend the KimKim Agency if you are planning a trip to Greece. Ask for Angela, she is the best.
