How did you get involved in travel?

"I have always had the desire to travel as many of my friends are from countries all over the world. Most of my travels have involved academics and visiting friends, which has allowed me to stay in countries for extended periods of time (a month or longer). The loner the trip the better!"

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"All trips have some sort of unique experience. However, I will share my most recent trip to Dahab, Egypt. I spent 6 days becoming PADI certified.

The pinnacle of the trip was my dive instructor, Omar. He happily trained my in 3 certifications, let me practice my limited Arabic on him, and gave the best food recommendations. I find that people always determine how you remember and feel about a trip."
