Hola! My name is Camila, and I was born in the breathtaking city of La Paz, Bolivia. With five years of experience in the travel industry, I’ve had the joy of working as both a tour guide and a travel designer, giving me firsthand insight into what makes a trip truly unforgettable.
I specialize in crafting responsible and immersive travel experiences, helping visitors explore the highlands of Bolivia and beyond. Every destination has something unique to offer, and I’m here to make sure your journey is seamless, exciting, and full of amazing memories.
I have no doubt that you'll fall in love with Bolivia just as I have—let’s plan your adventure together!
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"Over the past year, I have organized responsible travel in the highlands of Bolivia, including the spectacular Uyuni Salt Flats, Lake Titicaca, Sajama National Park and the city and valley of La Paz. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"From a young age, I was drawn to language and storytelling, which led me to choose tourism as my major. My journey in travel began as a tour guide, and it didn’t take long to realize how powerful language is in connecting people to the heart of a destination. Through this role, I discovered my love for sharing Bolivia’s rich culture, stunning landscapes, and warm-hearted people with the world."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"In 2018 I went to Tiwanaku with a couple of Australian friends to celebrate the Andean-Amazonian New Year. We camped near the archaeological ruins together with hundreds of local people who gathered to receive the first rays of the sun. It was not glamorous at all, but it was one of the most memorable trips. I learned a lot about how the communities lived, its culture, its food and their reality. It was both eye opening and life changing."

Camila and the guides Christian and David were fantastic! La Paz on Foot coordinated everything down to adjusting breakfast times with the hotels depending on the flight times. They did this better than most travel companies out there!

Unfortunately the roads were less maintained than the driver and guide had expected, or seen in their previous travels, so this day ended up taking us 14 hours, getting us to our hotel in Uyuni around 10PM and limiting how much free time we had at each destination (all of about 10min at each site). As two very active, adventurous travelers we found ourselves very restless sitting in a car all day, but I'm not sure how else this could have been planned, since all the sites we wanted to see were spread out.

This was the highlight of our 4 week trip, especially as more authentic and traditional people and way of life. We also did the death road ride which team of gravity was excellent with strong emphasis on safety and enjoying. 2 opportunities for improvement re 1 prewar day 1 of altitude as most of us on tour suffered altitude sickness and too late in taking medication and arriving earlier on day 1 could have allowed us to do the valley of the moon tour day 1 and hence allowed day 2 to visit other locations in Chile in San Pedro de Atacama. Thanks Camaros for a wonderful trip and beautiful memories of your country.

Close to many restaurants.

Cleanliness & Comfort
The room is clean and comfortable. But the super-sized bed took up much of the space leaving very little room for luggage.

Uyuni Salt Flats was amazing & I enjoyed the day spent on the flats. Accommodations at Hotel # 8 Jardines de Uyuni and Hotel # 10, Mallku Cueva Hotel, Villa Ma were not upto par.. The king size double bed was too large for the room that there was hardly any room left to move around the room or put the luggage resulting in having to put the luggage on the bed.
Other than that, the tour was well arranged & the guides were very professional & knowledgeable.

Hi Maggy! thanks for your feedback! I am sorry the hotels in Uyuni and the desert have not been to your liking, we all agree there should be more 4-star hotels on the route to San Pedro de Atacama. It was very nice to meet you! and I hope you had a good impression of my country.
Best wishes :)
