Elise Duhem
I was born in Orléans, in the center of France, but I grew up in the beautiful Burgundy region. After studying English literature and civilization at the University of Dijon, I spent a little more than 10 years teaching English to French kids and trying to share with them my passion of this language and of the anglosaxon culture. I then turned to tourism to introduce the country I live in (and love) to foreign travellers.
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"In actual fact, I love the small villages across the whole country. I am passionate about the classification of the 100 most beautiful villages in France and love making itineraries to show these places. From Ploumanach in Brittany, to Riquewihr in Alsace or Roussillon in the Vaucluse region for example, you are bound to fall in love with these incredible places and I'm here to create the best conditions to make it happen!"
How did you get involved in travel?
"I have always loved planning my week-ends in France or my trips to foreign countries and I realized that I could help other people do it. I first started planning trips to the United States for French pupils and I am very happy to work for adults and families now."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I had the opportunity to spend a year in the United States during my studies and I travelled a lot. I loved the cities of New York, Boston and San Francisco but the best moments I experienced were the moments I spent on the road, the moments I shared with the locals, trying to fully immerse in their culture."
