Jessica Erl

I always felt the nudge to get out of my comfort zone and explore the world. Born and raised in Germany I found myself on my first backpacking trip after finishing school which lead me to Australia. From then on, my life took an unexpected twist as I fell in love – twice actually. Not only did I feel a sense of coming home in this wonderful remote continent we call Australia, but I also met my now husband. From then on it was clear; Australia would become my new home. I love to discover hidden gems, go on road-trips, and have a passion for the culinary delights Australia has to offer.

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"Our nationwide network of local partners enables us to deliver a portfolio of highly rated experiences, accommodating a wide range of budgets, standards of comfort & uniqueness and levels of activity. From join-in coach tours to self-drives, from camping or glamping to the comforts of luxury accommodation, from professional surfing lessons to (self-)guided nature hikes. You tell us what you expect from your dream-holiday to Australia, chances are we will make it happen!"

How did you get involved in travel?

"The travel bug was always there, however my travel career began with Europe’s leading Tour operator back in Germany before settling Down Under. Joining Australia Inbound by Orange Journeys has deepened by passion to deliver outstanding tailor-made experiences as well as the personal service a boutique operator offers. I adore Australia’s diversity and simply love sharing our local expertise with you."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"I will never forget my first trip to the Great Ocean Road. It is of course home of one of Australia's most famous sights: the 12 Apostles, however there is so much more to see. Imagine yourself driving along Australia’s most dramatic coastal roads – from lush rainforests to amazing rock formations. Not only the scenery but also the wildlife is nothing short of spectacular.
I remember sitting in our campervan at dusk and watching a group of kangaroos peacefully grazing next to us, having curious parrots visit us in the morning or coming face to face with a friendly Koala. It is such a special place, and I will never get tired of going there."
