Tara Gellé
I'm Tara, a student of life, curious traveller and living in gorgeous Cape Town.
I believe growth happens outside one's comfort zone and one of the best ways for me to do this is to travel - through expanding my horizons (literally), having novel experiences, discovering new landscapes, meeting interesting people with stories to tell, and more...
I am also a complete nature lover and where better to be than the African continent? I would love to assist you in crafting your dream holiday, with all the elements your heart desires... And making sure your experience is as authentic, soulful and memorable as possible. :)
What places and activities do you specialize in?
"We specialise in all of Southern Africa (Cape Town, Kruger, Garden Route, Vic Falls, Chobe, Okavango) as well as the Indian Ocean Islands - Mauritius, Seychelles, Reunion, and Madagascar.
We love Southern Africa and want you to have authentic and meaningful experiences here, tailored to suit your tastes and needs. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I'm a born and bred South African, with Mauritian roots (both my parents). My first experiences of travel were with my family as a child - annual trips (sometimes more frequent) to Mauritius and road trips around South Africa, including epic safari experiences! I've loved discovering new places since I can remember, and ended up living and working abroad for five years after university; in the UK, South Korea and traveling to other parts of Asia while I was living in the East. I quickly realised on my return that there is no place like home and found a job working in the tourism industry that allowed me to travel around South Africa regularly, so I could enjoy the best of both worlds - travel and living in my home country. I've changed jobs since then, but keep returning to travel... And I'm committed to supporting you in having a truly unforgettable and positive experience in what I consider a breathtakingly beautiful part of our wide world."
Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.
"I will never forget a road trip I did by myself at the end of 2014. I had just experienced the loss of a parent and didn't know which end was up, nor what to do with myself. I had three weeks holiday and not much of a plan. I started off by driving all the way from Cape Town to the Drakensberg Mountains on my own to attend a New Year's festival (stopping one night on the way on the Wild Coast, one of the most gorgeous and unspoiled coastlines in the country), then slowly started making my way back to Cape Town via the Wild Coast, Karoo, and Garden Route. It was a tremendously healing trip. There is nothing like the wild beauty of South and Southern Africa, you will see..."
