We can't thank Nikola enough!! He organized and planned an amazing trip for our family! He thought of everything including an infant car seat for all vehicle transfers. He was always prompt with responses prior to our travel and answered all questions. During our trip to Croatia he was available day and night, adjusted our plans as needed, and reached out daily to ensure we were ready for the next day of our adventure. I would absolutely recommend working with him!
Additionally, the app "Trip Plans" made it very easy to access our daily schedule and obtain ferry tickets, etc.
Our trip was a very busy/active trip and kept us on the move. All hotels were well selected and provided us with everything we needed. Highly recommend the following people: Josephine (Zagreb tour guide), Ivan (Split tour guide), Mario (bus driver for first 1/2 of our trip), Girgo (Hvar island tour).
Hotel Reviews
Great location, easy to find/access, and had plenty of things to do + food options well within walking distance. Rooms were clean and staff was easy to interact with.
This was an awesome experience. Secluded getaway that had everything we needed (and more), a welcoming staff, and great food. We were concerned their restaurant was going to be mediocre and/or overpriced, given that it was the only nearby option, but we found the opposite to be true, and were very pleased.
Favorite hotel of the trip!! AMAZING location, big clean rooms with lots of space and light. some technical difficulties when we first checked in with room keys but the staff was very on top of it and eventually worked out the kinks. Hotel Breakfast with lots of selections and options for everyone.
Great location, small hotel which appeared family run. Staff was informative and helpful. room size varied dramatically. AC units in the room were high power and I even woke up cold in the middle of summer. Breakfast bar appears small but there is a menu that you can order off of with eggs, pancakes, etc.
Hotel has great amenities including pool, beach access, multiple restaurants and bars. The rooms could use an update to appear more modern but were clean and well kept. Hotel is a Maze and our group got lost numerous times due to hotel layout. Great breakfast! Beautiful place to watch the sunset. Outside of the city, easy 5-10 minute uber ride.
Activity Reviews
Josephina (Tour/Guide) - Melissa and Taylor were only two who did the tour and had an incredible time. Her energy was great, she customized it based on what we wanted to see/were interested in, and had a lot of great stories. We would be happy to recommend her to anyone we know that visits Zagreb. Seriously cannot say enough great things about her.
Plitvice lakes is a MUST do when in Croatia. It is so beautiful!! We had mixed feelings with the tour/guide. We had a good experience and nothing against her, we just weren't sure that it was entirely necessary or that she added to the experience. I think it would've been just as pleasant to have been given the route that is normally taken, and to go alone. The lakes themselves were amazing and are very glad that they were incorporated into the trip.
We had a great experience with Ivana and thought the tour was a great way to see the city and surrounding areas. She allowed us to customize the day and was very knowledgeable about all things related to Split & Croatia. This was a whole day experience and we thoroughly enjoyed having Ivana lead us through it.
Grgo was a great guide and we would highly recommend him to other travelers! He was informative, very friendly, and welcoming to our entire group.
Our tour guide in Dubrovnik was fine, but not as good as our guides in Split or Hvar or Zagreb who were all very good.
