The goal of our trip was to celebrate our 30th anniversary in a way that would allow us to relax and experience the beauty and wonder of Portugal without worrying planning all the details. Once Marta understood what we enjoyed, she planned a fabulous vacation for us. Our accommodations allowed us to access desirable historic sights and walking paths, ocean beauty within several minutes. The tours Marta booked, like biking through Porto, visiting the Douro Valley, walking through Lisbon and visiting Sintra created memorable experiences as each guide was excellent, personable and well versed in their area of expertise.

In the heart of the city, this gem was clean, filled with charm and offered an amazing breakfast.

The little courtyard on the 4th floor, the dining room with it's painted ceiling, it oozed with charm.
Location
Within walking distance of the historic downtown, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go from here.

Our room was spotless, and the bed and linens were excellent
Be Poet Baixa Hotel

Our room was in the heart of the charming city center, close to everything and yet the windows, once closed, blocked all noise. We could see the water from our balcony and walk for hours, seeing many historic sights from this hotel.

The room had everything we needed, including a little fridge and a coffee maker, the breakfast was delicious

Carvi Beach Hotel
Lagos

Right on the water, near a board walk that allowed you to meander all the along the coastline for many kilometers. We also loved the fact that we could walk to the historic part of the city in minutes. Finally, the rooftop restaurant, with views of the ocean, was fabulous.

It felt like a beach hotel, simple but clean.

Simple, part of the room had been redone, not the bathroom but it was very functional
