Beautiful, clean, well-appointed rooms. Modern touches of design within a historical building. Incredible breakfast buffet, and staff were very helpful and friendly.

Great design-warm, dark colors, modern and classic design elements.

Location

Close to restaurants, shops, trains, and palace/gardens. Karl Johans Gate has it all and the hotel was perfect.

Nicely updated property with character. Great interior design.

Location

Incredible views from our room and the restaurant, balconies are perfect. Easy walk to water, grocer, and other shops/services.

Very helpful and friendly. Great service from hotel and restaurant staff.

Cleanliness & Comfort

Very clean, with many areas around hotel to rest, read, or connect with fellow travelers.

The Hanseatic Hotel

Historic setting and great location. Less amenities and conveniences to the rooms. Less attention to detail related to design and quality, placement of outlets, working lamps, etc. Breakfast buffet was limited compared to other places we stayed.

Always a certain charm to an older structure.

Flickering lamps, had to unplug lamps to have a convenient place to charge phones, very small shower that leaked, no counter in bath for toiletries, noise issues from nearby. Limited breakfast compared to the other places we stayed.
