Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana, Transfer to Lake Bled
Welcome to Slovenia!
Upon arrival at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, you'll get a transfer to your accommodation in Bled.
Located at the foothills of the Julian Alps, this picture-postcard lake and its island are one of Slovenia's main attractions. In addition to visiting Bled Castle and sailing to the lake's island, Bled is also a great place for hiking and biking, as it's surrounded by beautiful mountains, forests, gorges, and old villages.
After arriving in Bled and settling in, go for a stroll around the lake or visit a local cafe to try a traditional Bled cream cake. Our team will meet you for a welcome drink and go over your trip plan with you.

Chat with a local specialist who can help organize your trip.
In the morning, a transfer will take you to the northwestern corner of Slovenia to the Triglav National Park. You'll start your hike near Kranjska Gora ski resort and continue towards the central Julian Alps to ascend towards the famous Vršič Pass. This beautiful trail offers some amazing views, as you'll be surrounded by some of the highest peaks in Slovenia and vertiginous limestone rock walls. Spend the night in a rustic, cozy mountain hut.

Day 3: In the heart of the Julian Alps (Alpe to Adria)
Today you'll walk along an old road built by Russian war prisoners during WWI to reach the highest point of your hike: Vršič Pass. Soak in the impressive 360-views. If you feel up for it, you can also do an optional sunrise hike to another viewpoint to beat the crowds.
From there, your route descents into the beautiful green depths of the Soča Valley. This is a steep downhill hike, and alternatives are available. Once you reach the source of the Soča River, follow the water until you reach Trenta, where you'll sleep tonight.
