Though you'll find plenty of hotels in Ronda's city center, part of the area's appeal is its surrounding environment of rolling hills, olive groves, white villages, and vineyards. The best hotels outside of Ronda offer a bit more privacy and an authentic experience while still being no more than a 15-minute drive from the city center.

Just a 15-minute drive from Ronda, Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera feels tucked away in the countryside. The owners converted a historic olive mill to create the hotel, and you can enjoy being surrounded by olive groves. A quick drive takes you to several local wineries, hiking trails, or the small town of Arriate (just 11 minutes away), well-known for its lively Easter and Halloween festivals despite being the tiniest town in the region.

Hotel La Fuente de la Higuera (meaning "fountain of the fig tree") is full of Andalusian charms, including a beautiful inner courtyard, tall white columns, brick walls, fireplaces, and colorful textiles. Choose from standard and superior rooms, suites, and even a private seven-room villa if you're traveling in a larger group. Families might enjoy the two-bedroom duplex suites with an outdoor bathtub, though many rooms can accommodate extra beds upon request. Even the standard rooms deliver bright, comfy spaces, large balconies or terraces, and modern bathrooms.

The outdoor pool is a great place to spend your afternoon before heading to dinner, though you can also laze at the bar or anywhere on the garden terrace. For extra relaxation, order a massage in your room. The restaurant serves a delicious breakfast spread each morning and lunch and dinner menus featuring organic and local goods, including some from the hotel's garden. Parking is free, and there are charging stations for electric cars. Learn more

Cortijo LA Organic

Stay in a historic cortijo (farmhouse) from the 19th century, surrounded by olive groves, lavender fields, and mountain views. Just a 10-minute drive to Ronda, Cortijo LA Organic offers a minimalist vibe to complement the countryside with neutral and natural tones. Opt for deluxe rooms or the property's only suite, which provides more space and an in-room soaking tub. All rooms have incredible views of the surrounding countryside, double beds, rainfall showers, bathtubs, balconies, and organic toiletries.

Enjoy relaxing in the outdoor swimming pool or on the porch/terrace with impressive views of the surrounding countryside and Sierra de Grazalema mountains. You can enjoy your meals in the dining room or on the patio. The hotel will provide a breakfast buffet and any other meals you'd like to enjoy with a prior reservation. At other times, grab a drink at the bar and relax in the library lounge with its unique fireplace.

Cortijo LA Organic, surrounded by olive groves, lavender fields, and hills resting against the Sierra de Grazalema mountains, feels hidden despite being just 10 minutes from Ronda. You'll find plenty of hiking and walking routes nearby, though you can drive to Sierra de Grazalema National Park (which has even more trails and scenic outlooks) in under 40 minutes. Learn more

A family-owned boutique hotel, your hosts are Wilbur and John from the Netherlands, who take a lot of pride in achieving their goal of running a small accommodation in southern Spain. They purchased this old farmhouse in 2013 and, today, share their love of Andalusia and Spanish gastronomy with their guests. Arriadh Hotel is just 15 minutes by car from Ronda and a quick five-minute drive (or 20-minute walk) to the white village of Arriate.

Enjoy relaxing in the hotel's common areas, including an outdoor swimming pool with a sun deck, a garden with hammocks, a terrace with sun loungers, and a dining area near the tapas bar. You'll enjoy a breakfast buffet in the morning and can snack on tapas in the afternoons, but the hosts are happy to prepare dinner for you upon request. Since you'll need a car to get to Arriadh Hotel, parking is free.

Rooms are fairly simple and modern, with wooden furniture and white bedding, creating a fresh, airy feeling. All have double beds and traditional tiled floors, plus rainfall showers. Those on the ground floor open up to the garden patio, and rooms on the first floor have a private balcony overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside. Learn more

The family-owned La Perla Blanca sits next to the owner's private vineyards producing the area's unique BadMan wines. Enjoy a complimentary tour of the vineyards, complete with a wine tasting in the property's cellar. You can also relax at the outdoor pool with its sun deck or sit in the garden. If you like walking or cycling, you'll find a couple of trails near the property's entrance. Parking is free, and you'll receive a basket filled with breakfast goods each morning to enjoy anywhere on the property.

A quick 12-minute drive takes you through the valley and up the hill to the center of Ronda. You'll need to make the drive for meals, as there's no on-site restaurant, but you'll find plenty of options nearby. A short 30-minute drive takes you to one of the beautiful white villages, Grazalema in Sierra de Grazalema National Park, or Zahara de la Sierra, with beautiful views of the area reservoir.

You can choose from standard rooms, superior rooms, and suites. All are comfortable and clean, though the furnishings could generally use an update, same for the bathrooms. Some rooms offer private hot tubs, Jacuzzi baths, and/or balconies. Learn more
