Day 1: Welcome to Slovenia

Upon arrival enjoy some free time to explore the old town center and its bustling streets. In the afternoon, meet your guide for a welcome drink and discuss the details of the upcoming days.

Day 2: Velika Planina and Ljubljana

Start your adventure in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, just north of Ljubljana. Here you will visit Slovenia’s most charming mountain pastures, Velika Planina (The Big Meadow). You are sure to be amazed by the rolling landscape and interesting alpine architecture. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the local farming culture and visit one of the oldest traditional huts in the area. After a walk, treat yourself to a tasty home-cooked lunch in a unique locale.

Today you continue on to the foothills of the Julian Alps and the impressive Lake Bohinj area. Venture past local villages, crystal clear streams, and deep gorges as you circle the gorgeous Lake Bohinj and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery. After a nice local lunch drive 30 minutes to Lake Bled where the rest of the afternoon is yours to hike, relax, or take a soothing dip in the lake.

Day 4: Viewpoints Above Pokljuka Plateau

Today you set off for Triglav National Park, where you begin your journey through the dense and magical evergreen forest of Pokljuka. The trail takes you to several viewpoints where you can enjoy extraordinary views of the Slovenian Alps and the Bohinj Valley. You will also have the chance to try dishes made by the local farmers and have lunch in a cozy mountain hut. In the evening, relax on the shores of Lake Bled and take in your surroundings.

Day 5: Pericnik Waterfall, Vrsic Mountain Pass, and The Russian Road

You begin the day by visiting the remarkable Pericnik Waterfall, located in the Vrata Valley. Hike beneath this rushing waterfall and cool off underneath its cold water. Afterwards, move on to the heart of the Julian Alps and the Vrsic mountain pass. Explore this magical area and walk along the historical road built by the Russian prisoners during World War I. Soak in the spectacular mountain landscape and feast on another appetizing lunch in an incredible hut!

Day 6: Soca Valley, WWI, and Hidden Swimming Spots

Today you explore the western side of the Triglav National Park and the beautiful Soca Valley. Here you will discover hidden alcoves, swim in sparkling pools, and walk along the winding Soca River, better known as the emerald river due to its deep turquoise color. You will also have the opportunity to learn about the history and WWI influence on the entire area.

Day 7: Skocjan Caves, Vineyards, and Piran

The final stops on your trip include the Karst region and the Adriatic Coast. Explore the underground Skocjan Caves or visit the vineyards of Karst and sample the local food and wine. In the afternoon, continue along the coast to the charming port town of Piran. Enjoy your evening by wandering the narrow streets and sampling the freshly caught seafood.
