Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Copenhagen, Explore the City & Enjoy a Beer Tasting
Welcome to Copenhagen! After checking into your hotel, head out to explore the city. Begin in Nyhavn, a 17th-century waterfront, canal, and entertainment district known for its colorful houses and many bars, restaurants, and cafés. Many famous Danish figures, including Hans Christian Andersen, lived in Nyhavn at one time or another, and their homes can still be seen along the canal. If you stroll along the water for 20 minutes, you'll reach another famous Copenhagen attraction—The Little Mermaid. The statue, made of bronze and granite, was inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale character.
Later, head to the Mikkeller microbrewery for a beer tasting. As a pioneer in the European microbrewery scene, Mikkeller has many years of experience and offers a range of different beer styles to try. Then, in the evening, enjoy a meal at one of Copenhagen's excellent restaurants. The city's dining options feature delicious food from all corners of the globe, including many Michelin-starred options. Be sure to try smørrebrød, a type of traditional Danish open-face sandwich.
Day 2: Visit a Coffee Micro-Roastery & Freestate Christiania, Gourmet West End Tour
Begin your day with a visit to one of Copenhagen's slick, modern, yet Scandinavian hyggelige (cozy) coffee shops, The Coffee Collective. The Coffee Collective is a micro-roastery with two coffee shops and a coffee school. After pausing to learn about the location and have a sip, head to Christiania, a self-proclaimed autonomous neighborhood founded in 1971 when a group of people cut a hole in the fence of a military barracks in Bådmandsgade. The neighborhood is known for its relaxed view of psychedelics, as well as its unique architecture, eco-restaurants, workshops, galleries, and music venues.
Later on, take a gourmet tour of Copenhagen's West End. On the tour, you'll taste the best of the modern Nordic kitchen as you explore the historic meatpacking district (Kødbyen). Experience the vibrant and youthful Danish culinary scene as you cover the beautiful landscape of the old derelict factories that have been transformed into some of the most exciting restaurants in the city.
Day 3: Train to Stockholm (Sweden), Fika Tour & Old Town Craft Beer Tasting
In the morning, take the train from Copenhagen to Stockholm, a journey of around 5.5 hours. In this highly walkable city, you'll find many exciting neighborhoods to explore, including a charming and historic Gamla Stan (Old Town). If you have extra time, check out some of the city's top attractions, such as the Vasa Museum, the Skansen Open Air Museum, City Hall, and Drottningholm Palace.
In the afternoon, enjoy two tasty food tours of the Swedish capital. Begin with a tour to discover the Swedish tradition of fika. You'll visit some of the best cafés and bakeries in the city, where you can sample delicious baked goods and learn about this unique social institution. Fika refers to meeting up for a coffee or pastry and comes from the word fik (a café, bakery, or pastry shop). Later, continue to a beer tasting, where a professional beer master will teach you everything you need to know about the beverage as you socialize and have fun.

Day 4: Archipelago Tour with Lunch & Stockholm Old Town Walking Tour
Spend the morning relaxing at your leisure, then head on a three-hour journey through the Stockholm Archipelago on a beautifully-restored 1906 Edwardian-era ship. Enjoy a panoramic view of the scenery as your knowledgeable guide shares interesting insights and stories about the attractions you pass. During the tour, savor a selection of meat, fish, or vegetarian options while admiring the breathtaking views of the archipelago. Once you're back on land, embark on a walking tour of Stockholm's captivating Gamla Stan.
Begin your tour at the stunning Stortorget square, where you'll discover the fascinating history behind the Kungliga Slottet (Royal Palace). Savor a piece of traditional Swedish candy, then explore the narrowest alley in Stockholm and take a stroll between grand noble palaces. End your walking tour on the picturesque island of Riddarholmen, known as "The Island of Nobility." In the evening, have dinner at one of Stockholm's many food markets, cafés, or restaurants. Be sure to sample some of the city's famous seafood, from freshly-caught salmon and shrimp to locally-sourced crayfish.
Day 5: Fika & Depart Stockholm
Sit down for one last fika at classic cafés, then make your way to the airport for your departing flight. Stockholm's Arlanda Airport is approximately 26 miles (42 km) from the city center and can be reached by car in about an hour or by train in about 20 minutes. Have a great trip!
