Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Bali
Welcome to Indonesia! After you arrive at Bali airport, transfer to Sanur where you'll settle into your hotel.
Day 2: Explore Lombok Island
Explore Lombok starting with a picnic lunch on the beach, with plenty of time for swimming and sunning. Afterward, you'll hike up volcanic Mount Rinjani. Trek past rainforest, rice fields, and waterfalls, where yes, you can stop for a quick swim. In the evening you'll board the boat that will be your home for the next portion of your trip and enjoy a welcome drink and dinner onboard.
Day 3: Moyo & Satonda Islands
Approach the west coast of Moyo island as the sun comes up over the monsoon forest nature reserve. Disembark for a walk through the forest and up to a coastal village, then snorkel over the coral reef. Sail on to Satonda, an isolated extinct volcano where you'll take a walk around the crater lake.
Day 4: Wera Village & Banta Island
Continue along the coast of Sumbawa to stop at Wera, a village of marine carpenters. Keep going to the deserted island of Banta, home to pink sand beaches and more coral reefs. Take an afternoon stroll through the hills, followed by two hours of sailing to your anchor point for the evening.
Chat with a local specialist who can help organize your trip.
Day 5: Gili Lawa Laut Island & Karang Makassar Reef
Start your day with a morning walk through the hills of Gili Lawa Laut Island, taking in the views of the Komodo archipelago. You'll get to swim with manta rays at an underwater cleaning station and snorkel over the Karang Makassar reef, some of the richest underwater life in the world.
Get back onboard to sail between Tatawa and Siaba islands, with another snorkeling session off the boat in the afternoon.
Day 6: Gili Lawa Darat Island & Pantai Merah Beach
Do another morning hike up the slopes of Gili Lawa Darat Island for a different perspective on the archipelago, followed by another day of coral reef garden snorkeling. Hop back on the boat and continue south to the sandy beaches of Pantai Merah.
Day 7: Padar & Rinca
Spend the morning lounging on the island of Padar and enjoying its beaches, snorkeling, and walks in the rugged hills with beautiful views of the surrounding islands. Sail on for roughly two hours to Rinca, the second largest island in the Komodo archipelago. Once you arrive, you'll explore its savannah landscape, watching for the wild deer, buffalo, and the famous Komodo lizards.
Day 8: Village Tours & Sebolan Islands
Visit the wooden stilt homes of the Rinca villages, where you'll learn about the area's historic traditions and meet its current residents. Then set sail for the Sebolan islands, where you can do more snorkeling before you continue on to the island of Seraya, home to Pasir Putih village.
Day 9: Sababi & Terang
Visit the uninhabited Sababi island for a short walk and swim and snorkel session. The afternoon will take you to the deep bay of Terang, where you can take a Zodiac trip through the mangroves, walk through the rice fields, explore local plantations, and visit two Manggarai villages.
Day 10: Tujuhbelas Archipelago
Arrive at Riung Bay in the Tujuhbelas archipelago, a string of deserted islands where beautiful beaches and snorkeling spots are plentiful. You'll spend the day exploring, including a beach barbecue, topped off with a climb up to a high point to watch the sunset over the surrounding islands.
Day 11: Palue Island & Batu Boga Bay
Sail for about three hours to the island of Palue for a morning hike. You'll take a mountain trail up to isolated villages perched on the side of a volcano. Head back down to the boat for another swim and snorkel session, then keep going to Batu Boga Bay, a deep uninhabited cove.
Day 12: Kelimutu Volcano
Say goodbye to your boat as you wake up and transfer to a bus for a roughly 2.5-hour drive across the island of Flores to the Kelimutu volcano. Enjoy the scenic overland route, including a stop to visit a Lio village, before you reach the volcano. Hike up to the summit to see its three crater lakes, each of which is naturally a different color. Follow that with a second short hike along rice fields and plantations before you drive to Ende for the night.
Day 13: Ende to Bali
Visit the Ende fish market in the morning before you catch a flight back to Bali, where you'll enjoy your trip's final evening back in Sanur.
Day 14: Depart Sanur
Enjoy one more morning in Indonesia before your transfer to the airport for your flight home or on to your next adventure.
