Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Whitehorse
After arriving, transfer to your hotel located in the heart of the city on the banks of the Yukon River. Whitehorse is small and easy to explore on foot, so head out to see the town after settling in. Later in the evening, set out to the AuroraCentre to see your first glimpse of the extraordinary northern lights.
Day 2: Wildlife Viewing, Hot Springs & Northern Lights
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast to get you ready for the day's adventures. After, head out on a city tour of Whitehorse, a historic and trendy city with lots of character. Tour the SS Klondike, one of the last big paddle wheel boats to work the Yukon River until the 1950s. Stop and see the Old Log Church and unique Log Cabin Skyscraper, then stroll down Main Street to explore the shops, galleries, and cafés along the way.
After early lunch, head to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve for a close-up view of some of the area's largest mammal species, including moose, bison, and the musk-oxen of the high Arctic. Not far from here is the Takhini Hot Springs, where you can relax and indulge in the natural hot springs and stunning winter scenery. Head back to Whitehorse for a relaxed dinner, then head back on the road again to see the northern lights. Relax in comfort and enjoy the starry skies at a seat around a warm fire at a tailor-made aurora viewing location.

Day 3: Northern Lights Viewing at the AuroraCentre
Today is a free day for optional sightseeing and tour. Try one of the many Yukon winter activities to explore the frozen winter wonderland around you. Try the area's most popular sport on a once-in-a-lifetime dog sledding tour through the Arctic landscape. Enjoy the warm blankets and comfortable seats in the sled as you explore the shores of a frozen alpine lake nestled in the middle of snowy mountains. Feel the power and endurance of the loveable Alaskan Huskies as you fly over the ice, listening to the creak of the snow under the sled.
After a full day, stop in town for a cozy dinner before heading back out to see the northern lights illuminate the starry skies.
Day 4: Depart Whitehorse
Time for one last walk around town this morning before transferring to the airport to check in for your departing flight.
