Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ljubljana
Welcome to Slovenia! Your adventure begins with a private transfer from the airport to your hotel. There, you'll check-in before setting off to explore the city center.
Stroll the frozen cobbled streets along the Ljubljanica River, and taste local dishes like kranjska klobasa (a type of sausage) or prekmurje layered cake at one of the city's many restaurants.
You'll also have the opportunity to take a walking tour with a local guide and learn more about the Lubjana's many sights, including the city's bridges, the Ljubljana Castle on the hill overlooking the city, and Tivoli Park.
Days 2-3: Ski Adventure in Kranjska Gora
Chat with a local specialist who can help organize your trip.
Spend two days enjoying the winter activities in Kranjska Gora. Start by spending some time skiing some of the eighteen ski slopes that range from beginner to advanced. If you're a beginner, you can also sign up for ski lessons with expert instructors to get the best possible experience.
For experienced ski lovers, you'll also have the chance to do some cross-country skiing. And if you're a fan of ice climbing, challenge yourself by climbing the frozen waterfall in Gozd Martuljek, before enjoying an evening sledding on the slopes, or enjoying the Alpine Village, a magical winter market that sells mulled wine, tea, and local delicacies.
Day 4: A Trip to Lake Bled
Have breakfast and check-out of your hotel. Then, a private transfer will take you to Lake Bled, one of the world-famous symbols of Slovenian natural beauty.
Bled's tourism industry dates all the way back to the 1800s, when Swiss Arnold Rikli opened a health facility on the lake, attracted to its long swimming season and beautiful scenery. He based his treatment plans on "water, air, and light," with key tenets of regular walks and swims, nude sunbathing, and a vegetarian diet.
Climb up to Bled Castle to get a beautiful view of the lake, its island, and the surrounding peaks. You can also tour the castle itself. If the lake isn't frozen, take a boat ride to the Church of Assumption on the island in the middle of the lake, and climb the churches' 99 steps.
Finally, either continue on to Ljubljana in the late afternoon or check in to your hotel in Bled, depending on your flights and preference.
Day 5: Depart Ljubljana
It's time to say goodbye to Slovenia! Enjoy one last breakfast at your hotel, and make sure to visit any corners of Ljubljana you may have missed. When it's time to leave, a driver will take you to the airport for your return flight home.
