Jessica planned such an amazing trip with the limited time we had! We especially loved the floating Islands and interacting with the locals. Our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and we absolutely loved and adored them. Peru was so stunning and we are so happy that we had Jessica to plan this to our liking where we didn’t have to worry about calling a taxi, or what we would have to do on certain days.

Carlos in Lima was super knowledgeable about all of the different Peruvian foods, felt like I got an herbalist lesson along with an amazing historical overview of the culinary scene in Lima. Absolutely Wonderful.

Jaime was so kind and kept everything in order and expectations managed for the trip through Parachas and Ica.

Edwin in Cusco and the Inca trail and Machu Picchu I really cannot say enough. His knowledge of Incan history and his capacity to tell it through a captivating story was priceless. He clearly loves his job and feels passionate about his work. He was so supportive of my kids (12 and 16) throughout and kept them in mind- captured their attention and made all of the trekking doable. 5 stars.

The Mountain View experience in Maras in the sacred valley was a once in a lifetime experience. A hidden gem. So glad we had this adventure up there.

The river rafting, rock climbing and zip lining were incredible. So much fun for the whole family and all of the guides were so kind and supportive. Both of the adventure companies were amazing - top rate.

The only improvement I would make would be the hotel in Urubamba. The hotel was a bit removed from town and out dated. Not a big deal - just some feedback. I wish we had had a chance to stay in Oyantaytambo. Next time!

This tour was a fun and easy way to get a good flavor of Lima. Carlos was incredibly knowledgeable about the medicinal value of all Of the rich variety of fruits and vegetables the Peruvian cuisine offers. His love for Lima and for food were infectious. Highly recommend. It was great for my 12 and 16 year old as well!

While this could have felt like a long day of travel instead it felt like a great adventure broken up into the most diverse experiences. I can’t believe all we saw and experienced in one day. From a boat ride in the morning, learning about bird fertilizer that was used even during Ican times! Penguins, sea lions, and more… to an amazing lunch and wine tour and tasting, to dune buggy riding and sand boarding in the desert! It was a packed day full of fun. The comfy van was a great transport to and from. Highly recommend, especially if you have kids!

Had an incredible experience in Peru, and KimKim played a huge part. Whether arranging pick-ups from the airport, finding amazing hotels. assigning incredible tour guides, or making adjustments on the fly, the KimKim experience left me feeling confident that my trip would be time well spent. I especially enjoyed working with tour guides Javier in Macchu Picchu, Luz in Cuzco, and Sophia in Lima. Each was kind, knowledgeable, and flexible. I wouldn’t hesitate to travel with KimKim again. What a trip to Peru! It was an incredible family holiday. Even more so for not having done an adventurous trip before like this with our children (16, 14 and 11) mainly because of their age and then covid. I soon realized that I needed help planning this as there was such a lot or organize and (although I normally like to plan holidays myself) it was clear that I definitely needed help with this.

Martina was so helpful ... we went through each part of each day. We added places and activities that I knew I would like us to do and Martina made suggestions for those I didn't know or wasn't sure about. She put together an amazing itinerary for us. We were very busy but it was thoroughly enjoyable and very importantly manageable and fun for my kids.

I really also appreciated the support from the team in Peru. Information was provided for each day in advance (tickets, guide names, transfer details) and all the work was done for me and arrived via What's App on my phone .... which was so easy! Everything went very smoothly (which I think would not always be the case in Peru!) and the services provided were excellent ... very helpful as our Spanish is extremely limited.

I definitely would plan a holiday with Martina again!

From Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu and overnight in Aguas Calientes

The train ride from Ollyantaytambo to Aquas Calientes was great ... the views were amazing. The guide we had in Machu Picchu (Ana) was absolutely excellent. There was a small protest (very peaceful though) going on which she swiftly navigated us past and straight onto a bus up to Machu Picchu. We LOVED Machu Picchu. Ana's English was excellent. She was patient with our children mucking about (!!!). She had lots of information which was fascinating. Hotel Waman not great. We loved the hike to the top of Machu Picchu Mountain. Our 11 year old found it the easiest, funnily enough! It was much harder than expected but totally worth it and something we will never forget. The views from the top were out of this world! So glad we did this. The train ride down was HILARIOUS! There was dancing and a fashion show. So much fun!

Our family recently returned from the most memorable journey in Peru. Katy spent many months planning a trip that was exactly what we hoped for - very active and very informative! Our guide, Aldo Sanchez, was a wealth a knowledge on all things Inca and Peru related. His English was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed his company. The first five nights we stayed in local accommodations along the way and each stay provided deeper insight into Peruvian culture. In addition to the wonderous hikes of Macchu Picchu, Huayana Picchu, Huchuy Qosqo, and a snowy Rainbow Mountain, we enjoyed paddle boarding with David on Lake Piuray, experiencing Lamay with Franco, Marta, and Matthew and climbing through the endless Inca and pre-Inca ruins. We will remember this incredible adventure forever! Thank you to the amazing team at KimKim for your attention to every detail and exceeding all expectations!

Johanna and her team did a fantastic job in setting up a great trip for first timers like us. They were thoroughly patient and ever helping in last minute schedule changes. An experience we will cherish for ever.

We traveled to Peru over Spring break 2022. Kimkim set us up with Anne at Peruvian Soul. From start to finish, Anne was super thoughtful and thorough. She knew we have a 12 year old and planned the trip so that it was fun for him too. During the trip, the train to Machu Picchu couldn't run for 2 or 3 days, and Anne quickly rebooked the hotels and activities. That's something that we could not have done, had we been on our own. We were fortunate to be set up with Peruvian Soul, and to be set up with Julio, who was with us about half the trip. Two thumbs up to kimkim and Peruvian Soul for an unforgettable experience. Trip was great. All vendors on time to pick us up. Ease in booking on website. The rock climbing/ zip line trip was phenomenal and the guides were patient with me (never climbed and bit of fear of heights)
Liz was great.
The only thing I would say was that it might have been a bit better with more transparency of individual pricing and more discussion of options but that might have improved had I done even more research on my own as well.

Martina and her team were amazing. They made me a custom made trip in a short amount of time. I really recommend their treks as I had one of the most stunning hiking experiences in my life. They are friendly and helpful and knowledgeable.

My wife and I took our two children (aged 11) for a month-long trip to Peru. Fortunately, I stopped trying to do things on my own and called kimkim who connected me to Jesus Martel. I told Jesus this was meant to be a trip of a lifetime for our kids and spent a lot of time planning with Jesus. In the end, this trip really exceeded our expectations! We wanted a good balance of archeological sites and fun activities. Jesus made great suggestions. Quite simply, we couldn't have planned such a great trip on our own. We always felt safe and had great guides who were very knowledgeable and always willing to accommodate our needs and preferences. We liked all of the hotels and I felt we got excellent value for money. Jesus was very professional and always checking in with us. Everything was taken care of; Jesus helped us with restaurant recommendations and reservations, internal air travel, he even arranged for me to see a tailor and I had a couple beautiful suits made. Working with local guides helped us feel connected to Peru and local people. We learned so much on this trip, but we also enjoyed our time together as a family; everything happened so seamlessly. We will definitely use kimkim again. My thanks to Jesus and all of our guides. I've traveled quite a bit in my life, but this was the best trip ever.

We loved our Peru trip! From start to finish, Kristy went above and beyond in helping us plan it and in helping us resolve any issues that came up. Kristy was readily available and quick to help. She helped us resolve easily a couple hotel reservation issues that came up and in even helping us find a lost tablet that our kids left in a hotel. We loved all our guides and stops along the way but we were particularly impressed with our guide Maycol at Lake Titicaca. It was our daughter’s birthday while we were there and he went above and beyond in planning a birthday party for her, getting a cake, and giving her a personal gift that required personal time and effort from him. Peru is a beautiful country with wonderful people and kimkim helped us see it all!

Liz Karen from Andean Travel experience prepared my itinerary after a brief back and forth while Paul Zegarra served as my POC while in Peru for 16 days. Liz's recommendations were perfect for my solo trip that involved numerous activities, excursions, lodging locations, airports, domestic flights, pick ups/drop offs, etc. The lengthly itinerary was executed flawlessly without incident. Accommodations were great. No doubt this feat required a great deal of "behind the scenes" coordination and communication before and during my journey. Regardless of the time of day, Paul was available via WhatsApp and answered all questions I had regarding the itinerary. He provided the assurances needed to eliminate the usual worry. Everything flowed flawlessly including 3 - day excursions from or in Cusco, a 5 day trek to Machu Picchu on the Salkantay Trail, and a river cruise on the Amazon and into the rain forrest. Peru and the trip exceeded expectations. Easy to recommend the kimkim platform and Andean Travel Experience.

Our trip planner, Jesus through Peruvian Soul, was amazing! We had to change the itinerary several times in order to accommodate the things we wanted to see and the time we had. Jesus made it work for us! He communicated with us the whole time during trip planning, and kept up with us and the tour guides throughout our trip tó make sure everything was what we expected and more! We had a lovely stay at Tambopata Research Center and learned so much about the Amazon! Our tour guides, G and Johann were also some of the best tour guides I’ve ever had! They were both native Peruvians who were both passionate and very knowledgeable about their country! They answered all of our questions, and both were so good with our 14-year-old boys. G went way out his way to help me get my phone back from leaving it at Machu Picchu!! And Johann enjoyed his first sandboarding trip with us!! His sweet mother made us homemade chocolates to celebrate!

All of our hotels were very nice, clean and beautiful!! We loved the charming character of the hotels we stayed at in Cusco! The food was amazing, and we got up graded to private tours of the Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain range and Machu Picchu!

Jesús also surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful hotel in Paracas right on the beach! For our last night in Peru, I was able to walk along the beach at sunset with wild flamingos feeding inThe waters.

I left a piece of my heart in Peru and will come back to visit it someday! ❤️❤️ Thank you to Jesus, G and Johann for make these memories possible!

We had a fabulous trip! It was so nice to have everything planned and run so smoothly. Having all the ground transportation planned in advance was really nice. The vans were so comfortable and the drivers were great! We loved all of our tour guides.

Everything was perfect. Jesus handled all the detailed planning and when we traveled with Peruvian Soul, Edwar had everything handled on the practical side of things. We loved our trip and highly recommend Peruvian Soul for traveling to Peru! Just make sure you pack for all kinds of weather--we were hot when hiking the Inca Trail, and Rainbow mountain was cold and windy. Luckily we had it covered and were prepped by our tremendous guides.

The accommodations were our favorite for our whole trip. We had adjoining rooms with our teenagers, and the view of the river was phenomenal. Great restaurants were a very quick walk, and the breakfast was fantastic. Only negative was that the bottled water in the rooms was not complementary... 10 sol for 1/2 Liter so we just walked down to a different vendor and got 2.5 Liters for 8 Sol.

Rooms were nothing special... just standard hotel rooms. The early morning breakfast was terrible. We had an early flight and we were told the breakfast would be available at 4:00am. When we got down to the restaurant the only thing that was available was scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, and bread. So... we made breakfast sandwiches. I'm sure there were many more options later in the morning, but we expected the breakfast to be full-up when they said it opened at 4:00.

This was a really cool hotel. We loved that the rooms opened up to a courtyard, but our room with the king bed was really small. Our teenagers got a room with two twin beds and it was huge! We liked this hotel a lot, but we were not able to get adjoining rooms with our teenagers which was troublesome. Location was good, and one of the rooms even had an ocean view.

We loved the hotel - grounds were very well kept and quite serene. Our spa visit was unimpressive, because it wasn't ready for us when we showed up at the appointed time, however, the staff made amends and were very accommodating when we told them about our disappointment.

Not much to do outside the resort, but we traveled to other destinations so it was fine to stay here.

Staff was very attentive and they worked hard to make sure we were happy.

The Short Inca Trail: Ollantaytambo to Wiñaywayna

Peru

We (the adults in our party) loved this hike. Even though it was challenging due to the hot weather at the start, the pinnacle of the monkey staircase and the reveal of Machu Picchu was well worth it. Our teenagers were not as pumped about the hike. 7.1 miles of uphill climbing on uneven rock stairs was a little too much for them. We like to think they were made stronger because of the experience!
