What you'll do
Continue past the rocky, beach-lined Cala d'en Guixar to the Islas Malgrats marine reserve. This group of islands lies in a protected 220-acre (89 ha) area of the sea that's home to diverse wildlife, from rare lizards to aquatic creatures such as groupers and sea bass that thrive on the rocky seabed. The reserve has also been designated a Special Protection Area for birds; look out for species such as the elegant Balearic shearwater.
Next, head toward Port d'Andratx, dropping anchor in either Cala Blanca or Cala Es Camp de Mar, bays surrounded by towering mountains. Here, you can dive into the mirror-clear waters to cool off, take advantage of the onboard snorkels to spot colorful marine life, or take the sea scooters or paddle boards for a spin. When you're ready for a break, indulge in traditional tapas and sip cold drinks from the fully-stocked bar back on board.
After an hour of swimming and snorkeling, continue your journey, cruising past the sophisticated Es Camp de Mar, a village known for its nearby resorts and summerhouses owned by celebrities like Claudia Schiffer. Soak up views of the steep, cliff-lined coast peppered with secluded bays like Cala Monjo and Peguera as you sail back to Santa Ponsa, where your boat trip ends.
