Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon Boat Tour, South Coast

Overview
After dressing in a wetsuit and receiving a safety lesson, your professional guide will lead you through the mossy landscape to the lagoon and your boat. After take-off, you'll circle icebergs of all shapes and sizes that, every so often, turn or flip over. This movement creates quite a spectacle and the opportunity to taste the ancient ice. The tour continues towards Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe.
Occasionally, you can see huge icebergs breaking off the glacier's edge, falling dramatically into the lagoon before drifting away quietly and melting slowly. Your guides make sure to give you fresh insight into the history and nature of the area, the glaciers, and the icebergs.
