What you'll do

You'll start by meeting your guide and horse just outside of the town of Ferries, along the Me-22 roadway leading to Cala Galdana. After a safety briefing and introduction to horseback riding, you'll get acquainted with your horse, fitted with any equipment, and set into the saddle. Then, your guide will lead you along quiet inland roads until you reach Camí de Cavalls, a forested hiking and riding area that takes you through trees and picturesque meadows.

Eventually, you'll reach Cala Mitjana, a pristine cove with vibrant, turquoise water and a white-sand beach. This sandy cove was selected as one of the 50 best beaches in the world, and you'll see why the moment you reach the inlet. If traveling in the summer, you'll ride to a lookout point, where you can enjoy the views and take photos. In other seasons, it's permitted to ride along the beach.

You'll follow the same trails and roads back to your starting point, where you'll say goodbye to your trusty companion!

This was a wonderful way to explore the coastline and see a beautiful beach not accessible by car. Our Spanish is limited and our guide did not speak English. We wish we spoke Spanish better so we could have communicated with our guide more during the trip. Read more
