Lima Food Tour, Lima
Patricia was fabulous!
This food tour was a great introduction to Peru. The guide not only shared knowledge about the country’s food culture, but also its rich history.
Loved this tour! Lots of amazing food and restaurants! Make sure you go on an empty stomach.
Amazing end of our trip - while we thought we ate it all, Carlos sure had some aces in his sleeve. The food and the setting... Read more
Brilliant tour! So much to learn, eat, drink! Highly recommended! Carlos, our guide, was excellent!
Overview
Other highlights of the tour include attending a cooking class and preparing traditional ceviche, a dish of fresh seafood marinated with salt and lime juice, as well as a pisco sour—a Peruvian classic cocktail. In fact, part of the tour involves tasting different types of piscos, a high-proof local brandy made from grapes. There's also a stop for lunch at one of Lima's top restaurants to enjoy a delicious meal on a patio overlooking the Pacific ocean. Finally, it's a short stroll to the bohemian district of Barranco, a popular oceanside neighborhood, for a relaxed afternoon drinking coffee and sampling Peruvian desserts like tres leches cake.
