What you'll do
Returning to the school, you'll dive into preparing your culinary creations, starting with sangría and a seasonal starter. During the warmer months, you'll cool off with gazpacho, a chilled tomato-based soup that's both refreshing and delicious. In cooler weather, you'll switch to a warm salad, perfectly suited for the season. This hands-on cooking experience allows you to work in pairs, ensuring that everyone gets to play an active role in the kitchen, regardless of whether you come alone or with a friend—every participant will have a cooking partner.
The main course of the day is Spain's most famous dish, paella, a savory blend of rice, seafood, and chicken. Under expert guidance, you'll learn not only how to prepare this beloved dish but also about its origins and cultural significance. You'll also receive handy tips and techniques to perfect your paella, ensuring you can recreate the dish at home with confidence. Once the cooking is done, enjoy the fruits of your labor as you sit down with your fellow cooks to savor your creations. It's a wonderful opportunity to share stories, yummy eats, and laughter, capping off a memorable day of learning and culinary exploration. Not to mention, you'll get to take home a recipe booklet to continue your culinary journey at home.
