Skógafoss Waterfall, South Coast
Overview
Skógafoss is just a 2-hour drive from Reykavik or about 30 minutes from Vik. Just off Ring Road is a parking lot, and a short walk will take you to the base of the falls. Alternatively, you can climb stairs for a different perspective or follow the Fimmvörðuháls Trail for other viewpoints of both the river and the cascade. This is called the "Waterfalls Way," allowing you to see the canyon, too.
