What you'll do

Your transfer to Lago Grey on the western edge of Torres del Paine National Park begins in the morning with optional hotel pick-up or at a convenient meeting spot in Puerto Natales around 6:30 am. Once everyone has boarded a van, the bilingual driver will drive for about an hour and 45 minutes until you arrive in Serrano, where you can take a short break. Then, you'll head to Lago Grey, which you'll likely reach around 9 am.

Once you arrive in Lago Grey, you'll have nearly 8 hours to enjoy the activities of your choice. Some popular options include a boat tour to see the Grey Glacier, a large glacier originating from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. People also enjoy trekking and kayaking, providing ample opportunities to take in the soaring mountains and bright-blue icebergs.

After roaming around the area, breathing in the crisp mountain air, and capturing the picturesque landscapes with your camera, you can meet back at the van around 5 pm, when the van leaves for Puerto Natales. It's common for the driver to stop again in Serrano for another short break and have you back in Puerto Natales around 7 pm. This transfer option can be a good choice if you want to avoid driving or dealing with bus schedules.
