What you'll do

Your full-day adventure may begin around 11:00 am when an experienced guide picks you up from your hotel in Valparaíso and drives you nearly 25 miles (40 km) to the beautiful Casablanca Valley to taste and learn about Chilean wines. Recognized globally for producing white wines such as chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, and syrah, this region offers a fascinating viticulture history thanks to winemaker Pablo Morandé's innovative vision in the 1980s.

It's common for the first stop of the day to be Bodegas RE, an exclusive wineryknown for its experimental approach and high-quality wines. Here, you'll likely explore a portion of the vineyards and visit the balsamery, the artisan liquor room, and the jars and barrels room. Your time at Bodegas Re culminates with a wine tasting where you'll sample some of their finest creations.

Next, in under a 10-minute drive, you may arrive at Casas del Bosque, one of the most prestigious wineries in the Casablanca Valley. Perhaps you'll learn about the winery's history and production systems during a guided walk of the property. A visit would only be complete with a wine tasting, so you'll also have the chance to savor their award-winning wines.

After your wine tastings, you'll likely enjoy lunch at Tanino Restaurant, known as one of the world's best vineyard restaurants. Here, you can indulge in local wines and delicious food while taking in the views of the vineyard and surrounding landscape. Typically, around 5:00 pm, you'll begin the journey back to your hotel, allowing you to soak in the scenery of the Casablanca Valley one last time.

We absolutely loved the Bodega RE. The wines were great, the winery guide was great, the place was beautiful. The Bosque winery was pretty but again felt pretty corporate, but the lunch and tour were well done. Our guide/driver Jaime was very informative and friendly and we learned a lot from him! Read more
