Authenticity
Adonis Hotel is designed in classic Cycladic fashion with a white smooth white walls complimented by blue balconies and shutters. Each room has a private balcony with large glass doors, allowing travelers to enjoy the cool sea breezes emblematic of a Greek island vacation. The friendly local staff can help point travelers in the right direction and book activities around the island.
Location
Located on the southern edge of Mykonos Town, Adonis Hotel offers a peaceful setting slightly removed from the busiest parts of town. Travelers can easily walk to local attractions, such as the Windmills of Mykonos (8-minute walk) and the Church of Panagia Paraportiani (12-minute walk). The hotel is ideal for travelers looking to relax beachside, as the beach at Megali Ammos is just a 5-minute walk away. Despite being on the southern edge of the town, the hotel still has access to most of the dining and shopping options within a half-mile radius (10-15 minute walk), as Mykonos Town is quite compact. Exploring the rest of the island is quite easy via the local bus systems, with Mykonos Town serving as the central bus hub and offering daily bus routes to most other parts of the island.
Rooms & Bathrooms
The 24 rooms at Adonis Hotel are simple and modern, decorated with floral patterns, arched ceilings, and simple wood furnishings. Each room includes a private furnished balcony with views ranging from the gardens to the Aegean Sea. Bathrooms feature shower-tub combinations, and some rooms have updated bathrooms designed in a more traditional Cycladic fashion. Travelers looking for a little extra luxury can book the Superior Room Sea View Jacuzzi or Family Room Maisonette, as both room options come with a private Jacuzzi on the balcony.
Amenities
Adonis Hotel's recent updates added a new gym equipped with a sauna. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but guests staying in upgraded rooms can enjoy private outdoor Jacuzzis. There's a very small bar tucked away next to the front desk, great for grabbing a drink but a bit lacking in ambience. The hotel also offers a buffet breakfast with indoor and outdoor seating, allowing travelers to start the day with views of the Aegean Sea.
Family-Friendliness
Adonis Hotel is a solid choice for families. It provides baby cots free of charge and children under the age of five stay for free. The Family Room Maisonette is the best option for families, featuring two bedrooms and a private Jacuzzi. While there are no special activities offered for children, previous travelers have appreciated the child-friendly breakfast buffet and easy access to the beach.
