Ilio Maris, one of the pioneering hotels on Mykonos Island, was established in 1985 and underwent a full renovation in 2010 to merge comfort with a minimalist design. While the hotel may not feature historical architecture, it offers a contemporary take on the classic Mykonos aesthetic, with a whitewashed exterior and interiors reflecting the earthy tones and serene ambience of the Aegean landscape. The presence of local Mediterranean flora around the pool area ensures that you'll feel the authentic vibe of the island during your stay.

You'll find Ilio Maris situated not far from the iconic Mykonian windmills and a mere 5-minute walk from the bustling center of Mykonos town. The hotel's elevated position on a hill allows for a peaceful retreat despite its proximity to town. The local bus station, which provides access to popular beaches, is only a few minutes away. With the old town and port also within a 5-minute drive, the location combines tranquility with accessibility to Mykonos' key attractions.

Your stay at Ilio Maris will be in one of the about 30 guest rooms divided into categories like Single, Standard Double, Double Sea View, Standard Triple, and Family. These rooms feature classic decor with earthy and cool-toned color palettes, gray stone-like walls, and Greek-themed art, creating a space that feels timeless and connected to the local culture. Many rooms come with private verandas or balconies offering sea or pool views. The bathrooms, finished in polished gray concrete, feature stylish stone sinks, though counter space may be limited. The Family Rooms provide ample space and the convenience of separate sleeping areas for families or small groups.

Amenities

A poolside bar serves drinks and light snacks. It's located under a shelter beside the pool and has plenty of seating with low tables. The hotel doesn't have a spa or gym, and it's not the best choice for travelers with limited mobility due to the steep incline.

Family-Friendliness

This hotel welcomes families; kids will enjoy the large pool (with pool floats provided) and the ample breakfast buffet. The Family Rooms are the best for families, as they can accommodate two adults and two kids (or one adult and three kids). A rollaway bed can be added to this room. A babysitting service is available for an extra fee. The hotel isn't very stroller-friendly, as it's a steep walk uphill from the town.
