Pros
  • The location is central and peaceful: you can easily walk from the hotel to Little Venice, the windmills, and other sites in Mykonos.
  • Sea view options allow you to enjoy the sight of the Aegean from the comfort of your room.
  • The hotel is relatively budget-friendly for the area.
  • The terrace is a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast or sunset drinks.
Cons
  • The hotel doesn't have a pool or a spa.
  • There's no elevator, which isn't ideal for travelers with limited mobility.
  • WiFi can be unreliable, according to past guests.

Authenticity

Built in 1984 and renovated in 1995, The Elena Hotel Mykonos maintains a simple yet charming Mykonian design throughout its spaces. The contemporary furniture updates the hotel's look while preserving the local Cycladic architecture of whitewashed walls and bright natural light. The hotel's restaurant, Lime & Lemon, offers fresh Mediterranean cuisine, ensuring you get a taste of the local flavors during your stay.

Location

Located near the edge of Mykonos town, the Elena Hotel Mykonos offers you easy access to the island's shops, restaurants, and galleries. Within 10 minutes on foot, you can be at the windmills or Little Venice—or just step outside and lose yourself in the picturesque winding streets. The hotel is in the Rohari district, a residential area that offers a serene escape from the tourist buzz while still being conveniently close to the town's bus station, the old port, and popular beaches like Ornos and Paradise Beach.

Rooms & Bathrooms

Rooms at the Elena Hotel Mykonos range from Standards to Executive Suites, and the most appealing options are those with sea views, which also include bathtubs. The style is contemporary Cycladic: whitewashed walls and natural light combine with wooden accents, tiled floors, and modern furniture to create bright spaces. Some rooms feature arches and alcoves, while others include spacious terraces or balconies.

Amenities

The hotel's layout resembles a cozy house, where guest rooms are just a few steps from the central area, including the lobby restaurant. Children can enjoy the open-plan style, and families can savor the outdoor restaurant area with a partial ocean view. There’s a shared TV lounge and a small fitness center. The hotel isn't ideal for wheelchair users or travelers with limited mobility, as the hotel is spread out on two floors and has no elevator.

Family-Friendliness

Kids are welcome at this hotel, though many families choose hotels with a pool (or closer to the beach). Rollaway beds are available for an extra fee, and infant cribs can be provided for free on request. Board games and puzzles can be borrowed from the reception. The hotel isn't especially stroller-friendly.

Other Highlights

The hotel serves breakfast on a sunny terrace, where you can enjoy the view of Mykonos town or watch the sunset in the evening. The hotel's restaurant, Lime & Lemon, is open for lunch, dinner, and drinks from midday until late in the evening. The restaurant has a full bar and serves Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. The ambience is fresh and relaxed, featuring outdoor seating on a breezy terrace.

We really liked the location of the hotel. The room was well appointed and had lots of seating. We had a great view and adored the balcony. There is a lot of action around the hotel with people coming down the road to go into the city. You can hear the music from the city at night but never bothered us. Read more
