Authenticity
Eurostars Los Agustinos blends history and comfort in a 600-year-old building that has served as a convent, military barracks, prison, and hospital. The hotel opened in 1989 and was last renovated in 2012, with original architectural features remaining intact, such as stone walls, arches, and columns dating back to 1373. The Central Cloister, with its glass-covered roof and grand piano, offers a relaxing lounging area for hotel guests. The decor is traditional with a slight Asian twist.
Location
In Haro, a small but significant town in La Rioja, northern Spain, Eurostars Los Agustinos is a prime spot for wine enthusiasts. The hotel is centrally situated, just a 15-minute walk from historical monuments like Puerta De Santa Bárbara and Plaza de la Paz. Haro's busy streets, packed with shops, boutiques, restaurants, and bars, are only a five-minute walk away. The famous Barrio de la Estación, home to renowned wineries, is just over a 10-minute walk. The Haro Bus Station is a 6-minute walk, while the Haro Train Station is a 5-minute drive from the hotel.
Rooms & Bathrooms
The rooms at Eurostars Los Agustinos offer a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a mix of traditional and contemporary decor. Rustic furnishings, neutral walls in hues of gray and blue, and either wood laminate flooring or plush crimson carpets add to the rustic and comfortable vibes of the rooms. Many rooms highlight original stonework and wood-beamed ceilings, adding to the historical ambience. Room categories include Double Rooms, Triple Rooms, Junior Suites, and Suites, each with distinctive features like king-sized beds, cozy reading chairs, and en suite bathrooms with combination tubs and showers.
Amenities
Although Eurostars Los Agustinos doesn't have a pool or spa, it offers a charming Central Cloister furnished with comfortable seating and a grand piano, providing a picturesque, relaxing setting. The hotel is home to El Claustro Restaurant, serving traditional La Rioja cuisine in a beautiful courtyard with centuries-old stonework and vaulted ceilings. Bar La Viña offers a more casual dining experience with tapas and sandwiches. Travelers can also enjoy a buffet breakfast in the inner courtyard.
Family-Friendliness
Eurostars Los Agustinos welcomes families, with children up to age 11 staying for free. Although the hotel has limited on-site activities for children, it offers Triple Rooms that accommodate up to three guests. Additional beds and baby cribs can be added to most rooms on request. The hotel's restaurant offers a kids' menu, making it a suitable option for families.
