Don Domingo Fernández Concha founded Viña Santa Rita in 1880 and was one of the first people to bring French grapes and techniques to Chile. His former summer home is now the Hotel Casa Real Viña Santa Rita, a peaceful oasis in the midst of nearly 100 acres (40 hectares) of rolling hills and lush green land. The hotel is just a 40-minute drive from Santiago and 10 minutes from Alto de Juhel, the nearby town where Concha first established his business.

The late 19th-century style of the house has been preserved and integrated with modern comforts and amenities. Vintage furniture and textiles, large windows, and hardwood floors capture the feeling of an elegant countryside home. Rooms look out over the inner courtyard, while suites may have a view of the park instead. A more contemporary 3-bedroom villa on the grounds is ideal for families or larger parties.
