ILUNION San Mamés is a hotel of contrasts. At first glance, the exterior might shock you a bit, but it all connects to Bilbao's unique and diverse mix of historical and modern architecture. Inside, you'll find more contemporary stylings. 

Location

The hotel is right next to the Termibus Station, Bilbao's primary bus station. Though this is convenient for those traveling by bus, the area otherwise isn't that convenient for seeing the city sites. It can be a bit noisy, with the bus station and busy intersections, and it's quite a walk to the main attractions. The Guggenheim is 25 minutes away, and the Old Town is about 35 minutes. However, remember that Bilbao has an excellent public transportation system, so with the metro, you can easily explore the city.
