Overview
Te Waonui Forest Retreat is a luxurious, eco-designed property tucked away in the natural beauty of Franz Josef / Waiau, New Zealand. The retreat is designed around a preserved area of dense greenery, secluding each wing for more privacy. The property's convenient location also places you within a short drive to the South West World Heritage area—where you can see mountains, glaciers, rivers, lakes, coastline, and native flora and fauna.
Enjoy a pleasant home away from home at Te Waonui Forest Retreat, with carefully crafted rooms blending luxury and eco-conscious design. Interiors come with personal pillow menus, natural wool carpets, organic cotton bedspreads, soft-timbered detailing, and natural color schemes to create a warm and inviting environment. Each room has a modern bathroom with a heated floor, mirror demister, bathrobes, and luxury toiletries. The Deluxe King room is perfect for two adults, while the Deluxe Twin Queen and Deluxe Twin Accessible rooms can comfortably accommodate up to three adults. The lodge also offers accessible rooms with roll-in showers, shower seats, and grab rails.
For dining, visit Canopy Restaurant & Bar, where you can enjoy fine dining amid the treetops, with a menu showcasing the best local cuisine.
