I was born and raised in a small village situated in the heart of the Atlas Mountains, and was fortunate enough to be raised in a family with a deep-rooted passion for travel. Since 2015, I have been actively involved in the tourism sector, which has broadened my horizons and enriched my knowledge base. Through my extensive travels, I have had the privilege of exploring various breathtaking destinations within Morocco.

As a travel enthusiast, my fervor lies in facilitating transformative experiences for our guests by introducing them to the diverse cultural landscape and hidden gems of my country. I derive immense gratification from sharing the unparalleled beauty of Morocco with our guests and observing the positive impact it has on their outlook and perception. It is my privilege to help them unravel new adventures, unravel the charm of untapped places, and immerse themselves in novel cultural encounters.

How did you get involved in travel?

"My passion for travel started at an early age, especially when I went on my first trip with my familly to explore new places in the High Atlas Mountains, new people, and new adventures. Since then, traveling becomes a sort of inspiration to me and fills me with a sense of enthusiasm to gain essential knowledge about this field. Traveling, for me, is like meditation; it makes my mind relaxed and motivates me to learn and discover new things. Looking at huge mountains, diving into gorgeous sceneries, enjoying glorious food give me a pleasure that is incomparable to any other joy."

"The most unforgettable experience I have ever had was climbing the highest peak in North Africa "Mount Toubkal" (4167m).

I was 18 years old when I had such an incredible experience climbing this gorgeous summit with the help of our mountain guide, my brother, who kept encouraging me to keep going until we reached the peak. The hike to the top was very tough but it was so worth it when we got there, observing the beauty of the snow-capped mountain, and enjoying beautiful landscapes. That adventure motivated me to take other trips and discover other places that are worth visiting in Morocco."

We had a fantastic time in Morocco, and it was made all the more enjoyable by our wonderful guide and driver Reda. He looked after my family which included my daughters ages 14 and 11 so well. A particular highlight was our stay at the Tiziri Camp in the dunes at Merzouga - we were lucky with the weather and saw sunsets and sunrises that I have not experienced anywhere else on the planet, not to mention the Milky Way at night. Quad biking was also a highlight for my daughters and Reda helped... Read more

We had a fantastic time in Morocco, and it was made all the more enjoyable by our wonderful guide and driver Reda. He looked after my family which included my daughters ages 14 and 11 so well. A particular highlight was our stay at the Tiziri Camp in the dunes at Merzouga - we were lucky with the weather and saw sunsets and sunrises that I have not experienced anywhere else on the planet, not to mention the Milky Way at night. Quad biking was also a highlight for my daughters and Reda helped us with the booking of this - he was also brilliant with any personal issues we had (a fight with a contact lens etc!).
Our visit to the Berbour camp was incredibly eye opening, and reminded us of the importance of water to us all. Youssef was our guide for this part of the adventure and we particularly enjoyed hunting for fossils with him (I think Youssef enjoyed this too!)
All in all a wonderful trip - make sure to ask for Reda when booking!

Just brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for the guys running the camp. Everything was fantastic. The fresh lemon juice was unbelievable, and the campfire was adorable. The boss guy is incredibly knowledgeable and really interesting to talk to about Desert blues music and the history of the Berbour people.

The trip was great. Highlight was the desert camp, but it was all fantastic. Driver was very helpful and thoughtful. Guide in Marrakech was the best. Only suggestions I would give is better communication from the driver on the long days. It was sometime unclear when we would stop and what for. There were a couple of stops we probably would have skipped (movie studio) if we knew they were happening. Also there were a few times we had to pay admission or guides that we were not told... Only suggestions I would give is better communication from the driver on the long days. It was sometime unclear when we would stop and what for. There were a couple of stops we probably would have skipped (movie studio) if we knew they were happening. Also there were a few times we had to pay admission or guides that we were not told about ahead of time. - including guide for Aït Benhaddou. That guide was particularly disappointing. It would have been good to know this so we were prepared or could have decided if we wanted to do that. Other trips I have booked included the cost of admission to places in them so I was surprised kimkim had not already included those in the prices we paid.

Would have liked to have a better understanding of when and where we were stopping so could have decided if the stops were of interest. Would have skipped the movie studio if we had been asked. It was not worth the time spent.

We had to pay for guide in Aït Benhaddou ourselves. It did not seem to be prearranged and driver just connected with a local there who was doing tours. He rushed us through and gave limited info. Did not allow us to stop when we wanted. It seemed like he wanted to get back early to take the next tourists. Pretty disappointing.

He shared information about Morocco, made activity and restaurants suggestions, and was very flexible with us-and kept us on a good schedule to see everything on our list.
The local guides that KimKim used were outstanding! Very informative and fun.
KimKim/Original Travels put together a seamless experience. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering Morocco.

We started at Chefchaouen, then to Fes, the Merzouga desert, Boumalne Dades, Marrakesh, Essaouira, and ended in Casablanca - with many interesting stops along the way. It’s impossible to say which part of this journey was the best, as each piece of it offered new and wonderful experiences.
Each guide offered us a great insight into the history and beauty of each of the places we explored. Azdin in Fes, Yusuf in the Merzouga Desert, Mohammed in Boumalne Dades, Hanan in Marrakesh and Hassan in Essaouira.

Our fabulous driver, Ilyace, was there and waiting for us when we arrived off the ferry. He helped us to become familiar with the country and the surroundings as we drove. Chefchaouen was a beautiful town to visit. We loved walking through the streets and seeing all the beautiful blue stairways. Walking up to the Spanish mosque to see the sunset was fabulous as well.

This was a long day of travel. Ilyace made it a great day by making some great stops - in the beautiful city Ifrane, a stop to feed the macaque monkeys along the way, and our stop to see the Ziz oasis of palm trees. This was an amazing experience! From the initial planning stages to finalizing details with Said on private tours there was always a focus on providing the best travel experience for us.

Our travels are always designed to gain an appreciation of the people, their culture, customs and history and where possible to live as locals do. We had several wonderful lunches and dinners with local families in Fes, Skoura and the Sahara. Ahmed, Mustapha and Ali became our best buddies at camp in the desert, they being labeled as the best cooks on the tour. Their camaraderie was evident when they gave us new names! I was now affectionately known as Ali Baba and my wife as Amina! In camp we were able to experience rainfall, which was the first in seven years! I came out of our tent for half an hour after midnight to listen to and feel those raindrops! I walked away with a sentence I would never forget one night at the campfire after experiencing some amazing guitar playing. Ahmed said that his ‘best teacher in the desert was the silence.’ They had to do something to break it and playing the guitar was his.

Accommodations were elegant and the beauty of Moroccan architecture was showcased to the fullest. The elegance lent to romanticism in many of the riads and reached a pinnacle in Skoura, when the breakfast table was placed in the courtyard one morning, and in the gardens the next, the white table cloth strewn with red Rose petals. Abdelhaq convinced me, a very picky eater to sample treats from all the stalls we visited on a food tour of the Jemma el-Fnaa square in Marrakech. Our cooking course at Al Maison Arabe was wonderful and we also had the opportunity to hear some of the exterior

Our guides, Hafid in Fes; Hamza in Skoura; Miloud in Essaouria and Abdelhaq in Marrakech were truly knowledgeable of the area and the quality of the artisans we visited. They were well received by all entrepreneurs and that courtesy was extended to us. Their descriptions on architecture and history were so detailed that I did believe they were students of history when their specialties were linguistics.

None of what happened on the ground could have been possible without Ayoub. He cemented all these disparate events, on time and patiently waiting the usual ten minutes till we were ready to move out. Through him we gained an appreciation of Gnawa and were drumming along on our travels. He explained the geography of the area and was especially happy when he was able to tell us …this…is ..High Atlas…his home turf. From him we learned that all cities and areas have their role in the Moroccan economy. Every day he would test us on our grasp of the little French we were picking up along the way and focused on specially on pronunciation. He came to know I played golf and in Meknes stopped outside the Medina and pointed to a gate I should walk through. I was greeted with the most amazing green, after now being accustomed to the colors of the countryside we were traveling through. Or was the first hole and the course was a favorite of the King! He made sure I had my booking, and after settling us into our boutique hotel in Marrakech delivered me to Royal Golf Marrakech and after the round had an even bigger smile on his face than I. We have only admiration for our Mr. High Atlas!

Upon arrival and greeting your expectation is aroused. Walking to your accommodation through olive and date palms sprinkled with roses and other fragrances, you wonder. Once you are led into your room your thought becomes ‘hmm I can live in this royalty.’ The room is elegantly adorned in color and decidedly Moroccan accents; a feast for the eye! The garden is immaculate and everywhere there are alcoves to sit and soak in your surroundings. The ambiance lent to romanticism and reached a pinnacle here when the breakfast table was placed in the courtyard one morning, and in the gardens the next, the white table cloth strewn with red Rose petals. The dining room was ornate and seating was arranged to allow privacy of conversation. After dinner sitting in the gazebo beside the pool allowed your fatigue to drain away.

Our guide Abdelhaq in Marrakech was truly knowledgeable of the area and the quality of the artisans we visited. He was well received by all entrepreneurs and that courtesy was extended to us. His descriptions on architecture and history were so detailed that I did ask if he was a historian only to find out his specialty was linguistics. I especially loved that even though engaged in their work artisans were willing to take time to explain their craft.

Abdelhaq convinced me, a very picky eater to sample treats from all the stalls we visited on a food tour of the Jemma el-Fnaa square in Marrakech. Our cooking course at Al Maison Arabe was wonderful and we also had the pleasure of engaging with three Canadian couples also traveling through KimKim. Our guides, Hafid in Fes; Hamza in Skoura; Miloud in Essaouria and Abdelhaq in Marrakech were truly knowledgeable of the area and the quality of the artisans we visited. They were well received by all entrepreneurs and that courtesy was extended to us. Their descriptions on architecture and history were so detailed that I did believe they were students of history when their specialties were linguistics. None of what happened on the ground could have been possible without Ayoub. He cemented all these disparate events, on time and patiently waiting the usual ten minutes till we were ready to move out. Through him we gained an appreciation of Gnawa and were drumming along on our travels. He explained the geography of the area and was especially happy when he was able to tell us …this…is ..High Atlas…his home turf. From him we learned that all cities and areas have their role in the Moroccan economy. Every day he would test us on our grasp of the little French we were picking up along the way and focused on specially on pronunciation. He came to know I played golf and in Meknes stopped outside the Medina and pointed to a gate I should walk through. I was greeted with the most amazing green, after now being accustomed to the colors of the countryside we were traveling through. Or was the first hole and the course was a favorite of the King! He made sure I had my booking, and after settling us into our boutique hotel in Marrakech delivered me to Royal Golf Marrakech and after the round had an even bigger smile on his face than I. We have only admiration for our Mr. High Atlas!

Our travels are always designed to gain an appreciation of the people, their culture, customs and history and where possible to live as locals do. Ahmed, Mustapha and Ali became our best buddies at camp in the desert, they being labeled as the best cooks on the tour. Their camaraderie was evident when they gave us new names! I was now affectionately known as Ali Baba and my wife as Amina! In camp we were able to experience rainfall, which was the first in seven years! I came out of our tent for half an hour after midnight to listen to and feel those raindrops! I walked away with a sentence I would never forget one night at the campfire after experiencing some amazing guitar playing. Ahmed said that his ‘best teacher in the desert was the silence.’ They had to do something to break it and playing the guitar was his.

Incredible 10 day trip to Morocco. Incredible 10 day trip to Morocco. We particularly had a nice time visiting Fes on a guided tour with Sharif. Our Riad was spectacular and a one of kind experience.
